I just noticed that the "professional services" discussion says "links to pro doms and subs" and I have never heard of a pro sub before. Is there such a thing? I could see it being profitable. But it seems so risky. Would any sub want to let an un-experienced, un-trusted Dom use them for cash? Not judging just wondering. Enlighten me pro subs, if you are out there.

I'm not a pro sub (But I play one on TV...just kidding) but there was a girl who posted on here quite frequently who is a pro sub.  She spoke very well about her vocation; hopefully she will see this thread and comment.

I am not a pro sub, but I once applied to work at a dungeon, I was thinking receptionist or something and they offered me a position as a pro sub. I said heck to the no! Mostly because you have to be very open to pain to really get all the clients and I was not. From the way they explained it though, its kind of the way for a Pro Dom, all the men who are dominant but scared of it, or stuck in another relationship want a place and person to do it all on in secret.

Yes they exist and yes it is risky. But there are safeguards that can be put into place. They don't make things risk free, just less risky. And yes, I definately would let an unexperienced dominant scene with me in exchange for a fee, provided he had passed my screening and I had my safeguards in place.

I don't know exactly what you mean by untrusted but I have never felt that in order to scene with me someone has to have some proven level of skill. Dominants don't just wake up one day and magically have years of experience - they have to get it somewhere and, while I realize many submissives don't do this, I am comfortable letting them get experience on me for at least several things. Needleplay, not so much though.

It's safer if it's done in a house with others there in case of need. Plus you aren't obligated to take on every person who walks in. Just like prodommes refuse those with kinks they aren't interested in, so do prosubs.

Thank you for the responses. By untrusted I meant a stranger. If someone is going to tie, blind fold and gag me, I better damn well trust that they will not do any real harm to my body that I didn't agree too. Such as dislocating my shoulder or spraining my wrists. As a sub you are vulnerable to these kinds of injury. And wouldn't an unexperienced Dom be more likely to cause them?

* edit, man I am a horrible typist sometimes *

I usually play with strangers, or at least people I don't know well. It makes me somewhat of an oddity but I actually don't have much in the way of bad experiences. Nothing that made me afraid certainly. My only injury is a scar that I got playing with an experienced dominant I'd known for years because he was showing off a bit and not paying attention.

Shit happens. It's kinda like how a 16 year old lacks the driving experience so might crash. But they might also be paying extra attention because they know they lack the experience and they don't want to ruin their car. While I wouldn't say that anyone is required to scene with inexperienced doms, somebody has to or they won't ever get experience.

I'm also not a believer in having to have a huge amount of trust to play with someone. This is not to say that I advocate anyone playing when they aren't comfortable, simply that I'm don't feel I need some huge level of trust. I trust them not to want to kill me and for them to not want to hurt me. Which is as much as I trust well... everyone when I step out of my house and assume that someone won't drive their car onto the sidewalk and onto me. If they don't listen to my feedback, then I end the scene but I would do that with anyone but Valyraen.
