sorry Kia, he's correct.  we have exposed cliffs here that show the Mega Tsunamis evidence when they hit here long before (I mean, like, fossils of shrimp from WAY DOWN the ocean floor and WAY OUT to sea dragged into the wave and slammed against the bones of Oz).

when you have exposed cliffs, it's like rings in trees telling you about extra terrestrial impacts in say, areas near Russia.

The one that hit Sydney around 50,000 years ago was over 10 times the height, speed and power of the Boxing Day Tsunami.  In Californian terms, if it hit Santa Cruz, the only thing saving San Jose would be the Santa Cruz mountains.

THAT'S how bad we got hit 50,000 years ago.

The ring of fire ain;t no Country Western Song.

Cool, thanks, boys.

For the record, prognostication is no pejorative, it's just flowery language. My dictionary shows it as meaning: the action of foretelling or prophesying future . . . . . . I was just curious what Hiltie meant . . . . .

I can hang back about 100 yards or so from the surf, and that should be more than enough space for just a 2-foot surge on a 20-foot high beach.

(Seems to me there's quite a few {missing} entire families that felt similarly over the last decade or so....hoping for "a glimpse").

I suppose it's theoretically possible, but if it's true it's news to me.
