The purpose of a submissive is the same as any human being. Be true to one's self. Live to the best of one's abilities, and hope to find people to whom we are compatible.

As for AquaticSub's first definition of a Dom.... that's what a "Top" does -- whether the Top is a Dominant or not, doesn't matter.

Or what a dom does when I'm just scening with them. I don't feel the need to transform their chosen label into something else just because I'm not in a relationship with them and they are topping me at the moment.

I have no purpose, let alone a main one.

I have a purpose as a Mumsy but being owned has no *purpose* whatsoever. My life works better when he's in charge.......... that's a purpose* for him ,not me.

Actually I was being entirely scarastic and don't think that. I don't agree with you at all that you have to be in a relationship to be a submissive, or even that finding a dom should be every's sub goal when single. It might not be the right time for them but they are still submissive, just not to anyone in particular. When I am single, I am still submissive just as when I am single or only involved with one gender I am still bisexual.
