Thanks Lucy...I doubt the US will get a comparable system in our lifetime, which is just fucking sad. However on the bright side, my UM goes in for surgery (non-emergency but medically necessary) on Friday, so the waiting is over. Yup, we had to wait to get his surgery and yes we are annoyed at the wait time....3 weeks. Yup, 3 weeks wait time for non-emergency surgery for a non-life threatening condition, and this was due to the surgeon being unavailable for 2 of those weeks. So, including the backlog of other surgeries due to the surgeon's being unavailable, the actual wait time was about 1 week....totally unacceptable if you ask me!![8\|][8\|][8\|]

3 week waittime... gee... i had four for my stomach surgery... and 4 for my knee arthoscoping... how interesting... both of mine were non-emergent as well. Lots of parallels. Personally, i believe many in the US are so into... now or die... mode, if they cant get it now, then there HAS to be a problem... instant gratification kind of thing.

Most of the complainers out here have concerns about their hemmoroids, other than that most of it is made up hyperbole aka joe the plumber scenarios and sky is falling.
