What I think is that the video, as evidenced by the logo on the clip, was posted by pajama.com, home of such interesting headlines as "Bi Polar Obama Enters Depressive Phase" and "Obama Seeks To Make Citizens Sign Loyalty Pledge". It is a site that is about as reliable as those who swear to have videos of bigfoot or anal probe wielding aliens.

And while I'm at it, I think that anyone who takes this site as an authoritative source of any reliable information needs to take off the tinfoil hat they wear to keep the Venusians from reading their thoughts and take a good look at reality.

I am off now to start a charity to help the masses of poor, sick and dying people littering the streets of Toronto.

The source may not be the best however they are showing compelling evidence. Are you saying that they hired the people at the clinic/hospital to lie?

I find it funny that any one/persons to disagree with the democratic are conspiracy theorist or propagandist out to scare or lie to you. Yet, you come on here using the New York times or the ABC channels as legit sources. lmao

I am saying no health care system is perfect and given time and editing equipment you can make just about any point you want. Especially if your audience is already sold on your point.

You don't have to watch the whole 20 minute video, but if you haven't...go to pajama.com. It's a real eye opener.

Hell, I'm not interested in any argument on any subject where the evidence is youtube.

If there's something else, bring it out.

All I know is, if there was government health care 2 years ago, my dad would probably be working right now instead of immobile and on disability, and therefore capable of affording private health care.

Well, they just see a different issue. The problem is, it's an issue you really can't come out and talk about anymore, you know?

Allow me to explain government health care to a select few who have no clue what they are talking about.

My son has a congenital heart disorder. Medically, its not safe for him to exercise. His Drs told him to lose weight.. but.. dont exercise too strenously. His heart is in worse condition than my fathers, who is almost 70 and has had three heart attacks. Because of his heart, my parents adopted my son, all above board.. no shame. Tricare is a GREAT insurance. My son is planning a bypass surgery. He got his approval today, based upon his cardiac physician's recommendation, the phychiatrist evaluation and his personal physician.

His co-pay? 10 dollars. Other than any medications he may need. Tricare wont refuse him, he has gotten no rubber stamped denial letter, no wait and see, no investigation into his medical history, no concerns over previous illnesses... none of that bullshit.

Now, in 6 months, he will lose the Tricare coverage due to his age. What do you think the chances are of him getting private coverage? Even most employers policies have pre-existing clauses.

As kids, we were all pretty healthy when my dad was in the Coast Guard. And, yes, any tour of duty into a war zone, my dad signed up for. He fought for this country, and in return, the country gave him medical. Ask the military/ex military about their coverage.

Its nice knowing its in place, that it covers what it say it will.

These stories go on and on, daily. Im lucky. I have great parents who saw a need, contacted a lawyer, and we found a solution. It should not have come to this, but it has... it had too for his life... for his condition is life or death, no middle ground.

So when you mock something you dont know a damn thing about other than what some lame ass on a radio show has told you... go fuck yourself!

Actually, racism has always been a mere convenience, to be honest. It's classism that's important; the wonderful thing about America is that class has, until recently, had some very clear racial co-indicators.

But seriously, keeping poor whites and poor blacks at each others' throats keeps either of them from realizing that rich whites (and rich blacks who are willing to adopt the same values as rich whites) are the ones really screwing them over.

Not that I think that personal possessions are the problem, mind you. I'd just like to see a way for material wealth to be decoupled with comparative political power, you know?

I think that if wit was dynamite, you wouldnt have enough to blow your nose.

Compelling  evidence my ass.... one ER in quebec, one clinic in quebec, on a sunday???(which is  different to Ontario or BC or Alberta or any of the provinces) and at tops five? maybe six people pissed off at the system. Nope that is not satisfactory evidence... unless you agree with it.
We have 50 walk in clinics in my city (pop 602,000) IF I  was hurtin on a sunday...I would tend to try out a few more, or at least phone ahead(OMG theres a thought)
There are more holes in that video, than aero has bubbles.
Sheesh

I watched the first 5 minutes and got bored by the idiocy and transparency of the film maker.

They shot this on a Sunday. Anybody tried getting non urgent health care in the USA on a Sunday afternoon recently? Does your doctor have office hours on Sunday at 1PM? If you go to a hospital emergency room in the US and declare, as this guy did, that his condition was not urgent then you can expect to wait while they treat everyone who is urgent just as thi sguy was made to wait in Canada.

So for the first 5 minutes the film maker showed a startling lack of knowledge about the US system or was assuming his audience was truly stupid.

Now this was posted by pajama.com which makes its money by assuming people are stupid enough to believe the lies they sling so it isn't terribly surprising.

As a Canadian I can say the story is total baloney. Obviously intentionally playing fool and trying to produce the bad results. You do not need a family doctor for the blood test. You need just a doctor. Obviously there needs to be a need for the test. There is an extensive network of labs in Canada and you do not spend more than 15 minutes to get the test done. One can easily produce similar  story for US (in addition you will pay a few thousand dollars too).  Try to go to a medical specialist (cardiologist, urologist and so on) in US rural areas. Usually you will wait for few weeks regardless how much insurance you have. Do these guys get paid by US medicine industry for doing this?
