I Seek Collarchat's Wisdom!

If someone's entire profile consists of:

"..."

would it be rude for me to send them a message with:

"...?"

InvisibleBlack -> RE: ... (10/4/2009 9:40:23 PM)

Personally, I think it would be funny. They might not get it, however.

Ialdabaoth -> RE: ... (10/4/2009 9:50:45 PM)

In an ideal world, I'd get back a reply of "!!!".

InvisibleBlack -> RE: ... (10/4/2009 10:47:35 PM)

Then shouldn't your message to them be "???".

I fail it.

Maybe they're using Morse code.

Or maybe they're a Russian spy, and the periods are actually microdots with top secret messages about our nuclear weapons program. Have you tried examining them with a magnifying  glass?

DesFIP -> RE: ... (10/5/2009 4:21:56 AM)

Didn't we just have a Morse code thread? And I'm amazed at how many people here know it.

HatesParisHilton -> RE: ... (10/5/2009 4:35:11 AM)

if they are Bi (who knows with that profile?) you could send a

~ + ~

and maybe get back a

MadameMarque -> RE: ... (10/5/2009 9:41:16 AM)

This reminds me of once when I wrote to a boy who was into puppy play, asking him some question about his form of play.  He wrote back, "?"  Silly me, to expect a dog to answer email!

LadyHibiscus -> RE: ... (10/5/2009 10:34:17 AM)

It's true, only cats and guinea pigs answer their mail!  And capybaras.  [:)]

DesFIP -> RE: ... (10/5/2009 10:38:46 AM)

What, you never heard of an educated horse?

mnottertail -> RE: ... (10/5/2009 10:41:11 AM)

well, there was the incredible Mr. Ed, but I think he was thrown over in the melee that ensued when My Mother The Car was first broadcast.

Walter Cronkite

LadyHibiscus -> RE: ... (10/5/2009 10:41:18 AM)

The Famous Mr Ed?  Didn't he have a personal secretary?  WilllllllllBURRRRR!

DesFIP -> RE: ... (10/5/2009 10:45:10 AM)

Forgot about him. No, the educated horse was a ruse done at carnivals a hundred years ago. You teach a horse to stamp his foot in response to a subtle hand motion. Then you ask him how much is 2 + 2 and you do the hand motion until he stamped it four times. People paid to see it not knowing the trick.

Or what letter did a word start with and you recite the alphabet while making the motion.

Hmmmm, which sends my pointy grey matter thinking about what Coco & the other sign-language adept gorillas would say to each if they were internet dating . . . . . Too bad 'The Far Side' is long since retired . . . . . .. .

Hi Kia,

I don't think "The Far Side' has finished, the guy that draws it lives a few miles from my parents in country Victoria, Australia. He has gone bush as we say here lol. I'm pretty sure I saw a desk calendar for 2009 at the beginning of the year. I will keep an eye and ear out and let you know.[sm=mrpuffy.gif]
