i've made similar devices from material readily available from the local Dom Depot/Lowe's/ACE Hardware for about $10:
8" - 1"x3" lumber
12" - 3/4" square dowel (round are just harder to drill a true hole through, but can be used)
12" - 1/4"x20 threaded rod
1/4"x20 'T' nut or threaded insert (look in the slide out plastic hardware drawers in any of the stores)
1/4"x20 nut with free spinning washer attached (look in the slide out plastic hardware drawers in any of the stores)
1/4"x20 control knob (look in the slide out plastic hardware drawers in any of the stores)
2 - 1/4"x20 nuts
2 - clothespins
bungee cord - two pieces 8" - 12" long
PL-2000 or similar construction adhesive
- drill a shallow hole, not a through hole, in the center of the 1x3 wide enough to accept the washer of the free spinning washer nut.
- glue the free spinning washer nut into the hole in the 1x3 with PL-2000, making sure not to get any adhesive on the nut so that it remains free spinning. Clamp in place and allow to set overnight.
- thread a nut onto the 1/4x20 rod about 1/2", then thread the rod into the free spinning nut and tighten the two nuts against each other with wrenches so that as the rod turns the two nuts turn together.
- drill a centered hole at the middle of the length of the 3/4" dowel to accept the 'T' nut/threaded insert and install.
- drill a centered hole 1" from each end of the 3/4" dowel just large enough to accept the bungee cord doubled over.
- thread the 3/4" dowel half way down on to the 1/4"x20 rod.
- thread the second nut onto the end of the 1/4"x20 rod about 1/2", then thread on the 1/4"X20 control knob and tighten the nut against the bottom of the knob with wrenches so that the rod and knob turn together as a unit.
- thread a bungee cord through the spring of a clothespin and pass the two ends through a hole at the end of the 3/4" dowel, tying a knot so that the bungee cord cannot pull back through the hole. Repeat with the second clothespin.
Place the 1x3 base against the center of the chest, attache a clothespin to each nipple, and then turn the control knob clockwise to tighten and stretch. Once you have started to stretch the nipples a small turn is all it takes to renew the "sensation". The device works equally well on male and female subjects.
