Somali Pirates arent too bright

Somali Pirates arent too bright - 10/8/2009 1:47:31 PM

Status: offline 		Im surprised noone has latched onto this one yet with the inherent comedy.  it appears that yesterday, A group of Somali pirates attacked what they thought was a cargo ship.  It turned out that it was the flagship for the French naval presence in the area.  One group of pirates got away, the other was captured.

The only real surprise is that the French didnt immediately surrender. ;-)

Status: offline 		They'll send them to Guantanamo, or maybe the closest of the CIA 'enhanced interrogation' camps that we have around the world. After all, Rumsfeld himself personally approved those 'enhanced' techniques, and who would Obama be to rescind that policy?

Status: offline 		Y'know, a bit of interrogation to figure out where the guys who send these idiots out live might not be a bad idea.  Hellfire missiles make a wonderful statement when they hit the right things.

Leave it to the French to let the other boat get away, though.  Hint:  Blow one boat the fuck out of the water, THEN chase the other one...

Somali ''pirates'' attacking a Dutch ship ended up in a Dutch prison and claimed they are not really pirates but have no future since westerners took the fish out of their waters. With the country not really having a government it is not likely they will be send back, this is their way to get asylum.

I think the confusion here was caused by France's cash strapped Navy using a cargo ship as their flagship vassal.

To be fair to the French fleet, they would have been on their way somewhere, and presumably didn't have the time to pursue fleeing Somalians.
As for the other, aren't any docks these wankers are based around going to be hosting a few (or a lot of) hostages? Blowing them up might not be a good idea, given that.

Status: offline 		Times are tight even we are ditching one of those costly Trident thingys, we are hoping to sell the other three to Iran.

They say free at the point of use i.e. free when you use it not free.

e.g. I break my leg and nobody charges me for this unfortunate accident repair at the time. I have already paid when times were better and the leg was in the unbroken state. i.e. when I was earning with the unbroken leg so able to pay tax unlike those sick and unable to pay hospital bills.

This is what is known as catch 22 or a vicious circle.

That's why The West needs to end all those "asylum" and "refugee" programs, they're all scams.
If they want to continue them then let non-Western countries accept them if they want and see how willing the "asylees" and "refugees" are then.
