The OP either has no profile on the other side or has hidden it so we have no way knowing anything about him including how long he has been involved. But I can't remember a Master who didn't know the answer to this one.

Well, according to this thread http://www.collarchat.com/m_2841291/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#2841291 he has met a excellent canidate early in the night. So I am guessing he doesn't actually have a slave yet. Not sure how you would have authority over someone you haven't actually met yet, but I haven't finished my first cup of coffee, so maybe it will be clearer as the day goes on.

What you have in a relationship is what the two of you agree on. If you want total control including her finances from the first hello, you won't get it. If however you want that kind of a relationship, and she wants it also, then that's what you both need to work toward. Okay, you find her to be an excellent candidate for the relationship of your dreams. You better be an excellent candidate for the relationship of her dreams also.

There are lots of definitions of the word "master"...let me share a few with you, OP. 1-a man who rules others or has control, authority, or power over something (noun) 2-something regarded as having control, power (noun) 3-to become master of; control, conquer (verb) 4-a title: a) a boy regarded as too young to be addressed as Mr. b) a man who heads some institution, group, activity, or place c) in Scotland, the heir apparent of a viscount or baron (Sorry, dreams of men in kilts...sigh ) But my favorite is... 5- a person very skilled and able in some work, profession, science, etc.; expert; specif., a) a highly skilled workman or craftsman qualified to follow his or her trade independently and, usually, to supervise the work of others b) an artist regarded as great c) a person recognized as having achieved the highest degree of skill Now...as to your question, OP, of whether or not you have complete authority of your slave I would have to say that if you need to ask such a question maybe it's time to go back to the beginning and learn to master yourself and work on having complete authority of your own life before you consider taking on the responsibility of another person's care and well-being. Just my opinion, though.[;)]

In a D/s dynamic, I think there are two basic limitations to how much authority is transferred: a) The minimum of the amounts desired by the dom & sub b) The ability of the Dom to earn the authority he desires. So, find a sub that wants to transfer a LOT of authority, then earn it. And yes, it's important to do things in that order.
