Status: offline 		I've been getting lots of email from women who are wondering where I got the Victorian corset I posted about...

Sorry, I just got it at a local plus-size store here in Canada. This doesn't help those of you in the states or the UK who have asked. I'm sure these things are easier to find in the US than they are here in Canada.

You should try doing a search for plus size stores in your area or try online, there are many sites that offer fet wear in large sizes.

I'm going to go do a search for some links and post them here in this thread.

Meanwhile, if anyone from the States, or the UK knows of any shops please post them here.

Status: offline 		Since I am betting Vancouver_cinful will appreciate this post I will speak up.

For anyone needing a corset that may not be a standard size, or commonly available you should try contacting various Victorian era non-military "living history" societies. There are many custom seamstresses and groups often have a few corset makers. I know, my sister is one for her local area.

Now you may not find anyone able to make one out of certain materials and such if they have no experience with said mats, but it is worth a try. My sister has made many arguably kinky corsets for someone to wear to masquerade, or so they say -.^.

Now these are usualyl fully handmade and fairly pricey, but if you want a vegan corset or have a serious fitting issues a handmade corset may be the only real option. The fees are traditionally either materials provided +time or materials cost+% material costs (finding fee basically)+time.

I help my sister do her accounting and have seen corsets made by her run from ~$200 to over $5,000 with an average around $300-$400. The $5k one was for a museum so I assume it had many additional fees involved.

We have found great quality products like this in sizes up to 8X at http://stores.ebay.com/ALTER-EGO-EROTICS

The corset dress I just purchased for her looks amazing, fits great and was a great deal. Same stuff you find in the fetish shops but at 1/3 or less the price

I shopped far and wide and got 2 corsets for the price of one elsewhere. Service here was very quick, too. I've been wearing a training corset daily and its holding up wonderfully. My black silk one is gorgeous. Soon I'll be shopping for a victorian, in time for the FAIRE season.
