I am sorry for your loss and I guess the only thing I can say is that since he is in your heart, he will never be truly gone.

Sweetsub,
You have suffered a terrible loss. My deepest condolences and heartfelt hugs go out to you and your family. If you can surround yourself with family and friends, lean on them, try not to handle everything all at once and/or all alone. Be well, one day at a time.

sweetsub,

my deepest sympathy to you during this difficult time. it is my sincerest hope that peace finds its way to your heart. i leave this prayer for you. i hope it brings you comfort.

G-d full of mercy who dwells on high
Grant perfect rest on the wings of Your divine presence
In the lofty heights of the holy and pure
Who shine as the brightness of the heavens
To the soul of her beloved Owner

Who has gone to His eternal rest
As all His family and friends
Pray for the elevation of His soul
His resting place shall be in the Garden of Eden
Therefore, the Master of mercy will care for Him
Under the protection of His wings for all time
And bind His soul in the bond of everlasting life
G-d is His inheritance and He will rest in peace
And let us say Amen.

Shalom,

porcelaine

I really am not sure where to post this, so please don't flame me for putting it here.  I am at a total loss.  I guess it's more like an announcement.  I got a call that Sir was in a horrible train wreck in the late evening Oct. 8, and now He's gone.  So gone, they need His dental records to ID Him.  We loved each other so much.....this is just gonna be so so hard for quite awhile.  Thank You so much for listening.

((big hugs)) I'm so very sorry. :(

Hold your friends close, you need them right now or will need them soon, even if you feel like isolating.

Some of us have walked down this road before. I'm one. You don't know me, but if you ever want to talk, don't hesitate.

You have not been on these boards for a long time, but in the time that you have been here, you have become a part of our community. We care so much about you and your well being. I cant sugar coat this and act like there is something you or we can do right now to diminish your pain. You will be mourning and grieving for quite some time as is what happens when you suffer a tragic loss. All I can say is we are with you in heart and spirit and you can call on me at any time. ((((((hugs)))))

On Death
 Kahlil Gibran

You would know the secret of death.
But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?
The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light.
If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.
For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.

In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;
And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring.
Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.
Your fear of death is but the trembling of the shepherd when he stands before the king whose hand is to be laid upon him in honour.
Is the shepherd not joyful beneath his trembling, that he shall wear the mark of the king?
Yet is he not more mindful of his trembling?

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?
And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.

I am so sorry for your loss.  They say time heals and as hard as it is to believe those words right now they're true......the memories will stop causing pain and will one day bring smiles.

You'll always be a reflection of His love and caring so a piece of Him will live on through you.....

I'm so very sorry.....

We haven't spoken and unfortunately all I have are words to express my sorrow and deepest sympathy for you in your time of loss. But through words I can show solidarity with you in my thoughts, prayers, and wishes, and that if ever you need or wish please feel free to contact me for whatever reason.

Once again I'm so sorry.

Thank you so much everyone.  So many good and warm thoughts and prayers.  Thank you so much.  Windchymes, in answer to your question, the accident was in Marysville, WA, just before 11 p.m. at the railroad tracks.  The northbound freight train plowed Him down.  I'm hoping that it was fast and relatively painless.  Most likely so, since they need His dental records to positively ID Him.
