I am going to be moving back to the Y for working out come the end of the year, which doesn't have a cardio movie theater as my gym now has which i really enjoy , and i never really like what they have on their TV's. So i am considering buying a video Ipod to watch while working out. Couple questions:

Do they hold movies like from itunes etc?
Are they worth the cost $250 at best buy right now.

What is your experience etc?

Thanks, angel

you have to decide whether they are worth it or not, but keep in mind that the screens are very small  , but yes they will hold downloaded video from iTunes or where ever. What you might consider for a more practical alternative is a portable  DVD player. About half the price of the iPod. They typically have a 10" screen and are about the same size as a netbook computer. You can download video and burn your own custom disks for your workouts.

I asked a similar question in a thread this spring, I got a lot of great feedback on it, and I finally purchased a little Creative Zen that has turned out to be a great little unit. I bought it from nextwarehouse.com (which I found on the Google Shopping page) for a lot less than I thought I would have to pay...

It was a good deal all around.
