The picture dilemma - 10/12/2009 5:44:48 PM

I'm having a bit of a dilemma with whether or not to post a pic of myself on my profile.

I'm a professional, with a pretty public career, and can't afford to have the lifestyle labeled pegged on me.  At the same time I am serious about looking for a sub on here.  Any suggestions or experiences to share on this?

How about a photo that shows you participating in an activity that requires the sort of head gear which covers your face?  Examples might be a scuba mask or motorcycle helmet.  Fetish hoods are also an option.  If you have a friend who's good at photography, you can do an artsy silhouette shot and then exchange full face pictures later.

Right now, I think the dislikes you have listed on your profile are going to make it harder to meet women than the fact you have no picture posted. For me, someone who has my religion listed as a dislike on their profile pretty much gets crossed off my list immediately.

Noone,

Are you familiar with Photoshop or a similar image editing program? In them you can blur your face so it is unrecognizable, but still get across what your face looks like in general. Message me if you need help. I'm good with that sort of stuff.

I have to agree with BossyShoeBitch. As a slave to see a Dom/Master who will not tolerate my religion is a huge turn off. You were doing fine untill you had a mile long dislike and hate column.

As for the photo something that doesn't show all of the face.

Bossy,

Shouldn't he be up front about it though if those religions are a deal breaker, rather than get into it later and waste time?

cock pic cock pic cock pic!
Chicks dig it, trust me.

Seriously, I understand your dilemma- since most women do prefer a face to get a handle on a prospective man; A pic of you in a helmet and visor will probably provoke guffaws, or signal that you are secretly the Elephant Man.

Isaac's notion of Photoshop is a good one, since you can control how much and how intensive to blur recognizable features.
As for me, I trust that no one I work with will want to admit they were here either.

Good point, though these days, the GOOGLE PLEX makes the strangest things show up in search results. One can never be too sure...

Just what I was going to say.  That's why the lists are there, after all.  There will be some subs who look at his list and go, hey, great, he hates such and such as well!

No. He should either buckle and make pliable the traits he's seeking and not seeking or he should just plain lie so that he has a wider expanse of people he can bag.

Because that method of advertising and courtship is so much more honest...

Religion isn't a trait though.

Correct (mostly...religiousness is a trait). It's a choice. Like engaging in watersports or kayaking or watching Greek porn while wearing lobster bibs. Some people may just have no interest in people who have certain types of life choices.

May suggest a fabulous, aesthetically pleasing mask that goes well with the rest of your outfit?

Masks? Shots from behind you (or from the side) with your face turned away? Silhouette effect?
