OttersSwim -> Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/13/2009 2:35:22 PM)

Yep, you've got only17 days left to sew your Mistress' costume for Halloween!  What?  You are not doing that?  What?

Sewing is totally a guy sport, and a must for male subs to know!  It is engineering with fabric and dead simple once you learn the basics.  Just about anything you want to learn you can find videos on YouTube, why just last night I learned how to do a "slip stitch" and this morning how to do "inverted pleats" in a skirt!

Let's face it, pre-made Halloween costumes are just total junk and why spend $60-$100 for something you can only wear for one night and will likely be in tatters from poor workmanship by the end of the evening?  You can sew your Lady a costume that she will be proud to wear again and again!  And you will have the skills to fetish it up, tramp it up, or tone it down after the big day!  When she walks into the spooky fetish party and every head turns, she announces proudly, "yea, my boy made my costume".  She will be the envy of all the other Mistresses and you will be sitting pretty at her feet!

So break out that sewing machine and bust out some moves for your Lady!  But wait, there's more!  Imagine how pleased she will be when you can fix tears, mend seams, and keep her looking fabulous all year round!

Sewing!  All these things can be yours today!

Don't wait, ACT NOW!!!!

Not a paid advertisement, must be 18 years or older, void where prohibited.

Ah, a man who can sew well enough to make all the costumes he wants to see me wearing.  Now THERE's a fantasy about male initiative...!  [:D]

Funny you should bring it up, Otters.  While clip does sew, I have never had him make a thing for Me.

Sadly, this is one of those occasions where I have to say I will have to wait until next year.

Now for the rest of the story...[;)]

We have decided to sew our own Halloween costumes as all of the pre-made ones we looked at really were junk.  I have some sewing skills and have made a number of things through the years so it was just a short brush up on the machine for me and we were off and running!

We are going to an Alice in Wonderland themed party on Halloween night and so my Lady will be going as a sexy Queen of Hearts, and myself as a sexy Mad Hatter en'femme!

We found patterns for mine based largely on costumes of the same name that we rejected from the Halloween stores, and the QoH outfit we are making based on a "saloon girl" pattern that has the short tiered skirt with the long train in the back.

All the fabric stores are having sales this time of year and we got the patterns for a buck each, and while we did spend more than we would have for pre-made junk, I am hoping that they will be convertible to fetish clothes that we can wear to other parties!

So the spare bedroom is now converted into a "sewing room" and we are making my outfit first so I get the practice.  My Lady's costume will be significantly harder than mine as her bodice has boning, interfacing, and is fully lined...and there is maribou...so much fun but a significant challenge too!

We will post pics from the party!  [:)]

Heh, I'm the one who sews around here - and I'm doing Christmas presents for the littles already lol

I want to be more confident in my sewing skills again before I start anything too complicated - I'll make my mistakes on the replicants' things, they'll never know anyway lol

IBused -> RE: Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/13/2009 3:09:03 PM)

you are sew funny...he sez as he gets his cock caught in his zipper.............OUCH...and you want me with a needle in my hand?

SylvereApLeanan -> RE: Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/13/2009 3:09:11 PM)

I <3 a man who can sew.  Come to think of it, I married one.  Twice.  [:D]

SweetDommes -> RE: Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/13/2009 3:11:17 PM)

Oh, I would love to have a guy who sews also - but that means that we'd have to have another sewing machine. I don't share very well LOL

SylvereApLeanan -> RE: Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/13/2009 3:13:48 PM)

Seems like a small price to pay, to me.  Especially if it means you get more awesome clothes faster.

SweetDommes -> RE: Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/13/2009 3:16:02 PM)

Yeah - I'm weird like that, though. I just got a sewing machine that I like for the first time in about 15 years (early Christmas pres from the parentals). I shoudl put up as a qualification on our profile that he has to have his own sewing machine and know how to use it LOL

DemonKia -> RE: Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/13/2009 4:56:52 PM)

Yay! Halloween!!!!

Yes, I vote s-types with sewing skills is a good thing . .. . .

I am such a slut for costumes I'll even sew. lol

I come from a long line of crafty & or creative types & nothin' says lovin' like handmade .. . . . .

Most of the time when I look at apparel, I look with an eye toward how hard it would be for me to make it . . . .

I did SCA for some years & I sewed up all kinds of historical garb, especially Elizabethan. After that, most everything is not so bad . . . .

This year I'm doin' the mad scientist thing. Some variation on the classic tunic, some groovy welder's goggles, big black rubber gloves, & etc . . . I promise pics . . . . .

I'm supposed to be going to two Halloween BDSM play parties, & I'm so excited. Belle of the ball, I am so feelin' that vibe . ... .

Hey, why not? You see all those bumper stickers where fisherman are looking for "A Woman with her own boat".
A sewing machine is small in comparison!

Perhaps we need to review the Domme minimum standards, heh Ladies?

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/13/2009 5:22:54 PM)

I hate sewing!  That I am really good at it is SO not relevant!   I should list "can sew corsets" on my future list of what the next sub has to be able to do!  OH yeah!  And the first things are finishing the two projects that I have pinned and ready to go!

SweetDommes -> RE: Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/13/2009 5:41:10 PM)

LOL - Once I get into it, I typically enjoy sewing, and I used to be good at it. With some refresher pieces, I'm sure I will be again. The robe that I'm making for the female replicant is totally adorable. Still looking for fabric for the male replicant, but I have more time for him. Plus I'm making a matching robe for the female replicant's other Christmas present (one of my old babydolls) lol.

I eventually want to be able to sew period clothes, corsets, etc. That's actually why I asked for a new machine for Christmas. Then my sis-in-law decided that her replicant needed a robe, and a new little blankie. So I'm practicing on the easy stuff.

I have the patterns for a beautiful stolla and other Roman garb...just need to find the time and capital to experiment. ^__^

SweetDommes -> RE: Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/13/2009 6:12:19 PM)

This time of year is definitely the best for finding sales on costume fabrics. Even if you can only afford the fabrics for part of the outfits, I'd start looking.

DemonKia -> RE: Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/13/2009 7:53:28 PM)

I've scored some amazing deals on fabrics & sewing notions at thrift stores, fyi . . .. .

Eivarden -> RE: Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/13/2009 9:40:02 PM)

If I actually made what "I" wanted her to wear (in response to ShaktiSama said)
I would make Plate mail armor... which doesn't have that much sewing :o

MsStarlett -> RE: Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/14/2009 4:01:18 AM)

That's also fun, Eivarden.  Get thy self to a forge and start hammering!

Actually, I'm the seamstress in the household.  In fact, I'm a professional costumer, so I do it all the time.  Hubby is the 'gadget' man.  He does very nice, functional leather work and does amazing things with sheet plastic.  He taught me to at least make my own collars, and some restraints.  He can even 'rig' dungeon equipment, but isn't very good at making it to the level of perfection that prefer.  He's sort of  a "There.  It works." kind of guy.  He doesn't understand making it 'pretty'.

PeonForHer -> RE: Okay boys...get out your sewing machines! (10/14/2009 4:21:35 AM)

Hmmm.  On the downside, I've mainly sewn only patches on tents and taken up the odd pair of jeans.  I did make some alterations on my ex's blouse, though.  On the bright side, however, I don't have a partner/domme, so I don't have to do anything anyway.

But, I'm thinking, what's all this sewing got to do with Halloween anyway?  What I do for that mainly involves bits of cabbage, flour, cochineal food dye, corn syrup, spaghetti and sugar.  (And finding out in advance if there'll be any kids at the relevant party.  Yeesh.  I never want to make that mistake again.)
