When I was looking for "the one" I was looking for someone that I clicked with. I wanted this person to share all life things with so he had to be special. I wanted someone I could have a conversation with, so those that came on with ye ol slavespeak instantly turned me off.
To me, looks come after I actually know them. When I am with someone that has the type of personality I can get into, that makes them attractive to me, same as I've been with some "model" types that bored me to tears, mainly because all they depended on was their looks and never worked on having a personality, so I had no problem ending it, looks or not
Looks only go so far, as a friend of mine find out recently that blew off a very nice lady, who wasn't bad looking but wasn't the blonde/blue plastic doll type , to marry "barbie", who treated him like crap from day one, but all he could see was how she looked, actually that's all he talked about, their marriage didn't last four months. After the glamour of getting ready for the wedding and being the center of attention for about a year, after it was over, he finally saw there was nothing there.
I'm lucky...I found someone I have that special chemistry with, and he just happens to be hot looking as well[sm=couple.gif]
