this is probably a stupid question but after 4 months on this site,i have NO IDEA what i am.

first off i would like to say thank you for letting me be a part of this site. i am from canada and i am 29 years old..i enjoy weight lifitng, body building is my hobby of choice . i also enjoy my gardens as i grow all my own food. i had a gf but she cheated on me after 8 years and moved 2000 miles away with my friend and took MY DOG. i MISS my dog,,it was my dog, i had the dog before i was even with her. so now i been single about 18 months. i dont look for a gf becasue i promised myself i would NEVER feel like that again,, But nights are getting kinda loanly now. i spend most of my time either training for UFC or restoring old furniture i find at yard sales. im restoring a solid oak table that has atleast 56 layers of cat shit yellow oil paint on it, HARD JOB.

i dont know rather im a sub or a dom because i hold a real high respect for women, and i just do not have the urge to hurt them in any way. HOWEVER there is a part of me that when i see a female i like i wanna make hardcore love to her.i also have the feeling sometimes that i want a female to just POUND ME,,in the ass with her toy. i dont know what i am.

i am not online alot becasue i have a house payment and i cant rely on daddy to pay it for me, so i work, and i work hard. i also will not stay home from the gym to chat with anyone, i need my 2 hrs a night gym time.

Well, you sound like a stand up, straight shooting kinda guy.

You're not going to appreciate this, but there's a third way... if you're not pure Dom or pure sub and still kinky, then you're a switch.  So labeling yourself just got more complicated.

The way in which you describe sub and Dom roles sound like scening.  Would you be comfortable submitting to or leading another outside of the bedroom?

I agree with Steven why not just go with switch? It might be easier than trying to decide whether you are a Dom or a sub

Well, it sounds like you are uniquely you!  Don't worry so much about labels. 

If, however, you feel a need to define and can relate to both top/dom and bottom/sub...step to the switchy darkside [;)]

You are a sub.

I agree with DarkSteven: You are looking only at the sexual topping / bottoming angle, not at the submissive angle, which goes way beyond the sexual; this is why you are confused.

I recommend poly; not necessarily sexual. Do not look for a dom(me) only.

This is a running theme for me today! lol!!  People not knowing what they are...and not what *I* am for that matter.  I was told this morning I'm not a sub. And not rehash it as I've already done in my journal..so I won't. But I love how everyone here is offering helpful suggestions instead of telling him what he is and isn't, which is what I had happen.  Good luck, I'm sure you'll figure it out and it'll be something that works well for you!

Welcome indeed!

I believe that is why some choose to label themselves as "switches" because they have both dominant and submissive tendencies. Despite being a submissive myself, I suppose I am commanding and demanding sometimes as well, I would expect my Dominant to over-power me in such a situation.

As you explore further you may just find out what you truly are.

Doms can have high respect for women and so can subs...

Hardcore love does not have to mean DOM

Getting your ass stimulated does not have to mean submissive.

A DOM can have his ass stimulated if he directs his sub to do so.
A sub can make hard core love..


IT is about personality..not necessarily sexual actions
