Termyn8or -> What would you have me do ? (10/13/2009 8:53:57 PM)

This thought started out many years ago. Luckily I am better at condensing things now. I also started a thread something like If I were President. Well, taking the two together is quite the challenge. The original thing was back when I was trying to be a Christian. I really tried, and I think somewhere in the archives are the reasons I could not. What my thought was, never before expressed here, if I were Jesus Christ, back with immense powers and ready to kick ass and chew bubble gum, being out of gum, what should I do. Kill these people, kill those people ? What would people wish for. Kill al the "towelheads" or the Jews, or the N,,, you know. What would you have me do ?

Now present company excepted, it is a pretty firm belief that many people in the general public would wish for something that involves eliminating or killing someone else. Not the best state of affairs of course, but I have to call them as I see them. What I see out there is a mass of very disturbed and perturbed people, and many of them have no idea of the real source of their own dismay. Some attribute it to this group, others have other groups in mind. Not one of them stopping to consider the possibility that they caused their own problems, or at least most of them.

This is the epitome of what the true enemy wants. We are divided in our own mini version of a class war, which they carefully maintain. The fact is it is very hard to tell our enemies from our allies. In short, we don't know what the hell we are doing. The true war has nothing to do with ethnicity or anything of the sort, it is class warfare. It is a different set of morals and ideas. It is a fundamental difference in the way one thinks.

So, mounted with all this information, if I were the annointed one, with powers, what would you have me do ? Even among the most logical of responses there is alot of pain to go around. I have given this much thought. While I do favor execution of truly bad criminals, I know full well who is to blame. I agree that it is not right to take their lives because their Parents did not raise them right, but what are the alterntives ? I say we are getting to the point where we can no longer afford the alternatives.

So who do have Jesus kill today ? The Arabs ? or only some of them ? Which ones ? The ones in bed with the Bush family or the others ? The politicians ? Even though I disagree strongly on several points, I would have to take a bullet for Ron Paul. There may be a few others but not many. Is it worth it just to whack him as well for the greater good ? To simplify things you see.

What would you have me do if I were He ? Eliminate famine ? Have you had a look at world population figures lately ? One bottle of wine and one crispy thing or whatever only goes so far. So eliminating famine is out. OK, no more war. How to accomplish that. Overt means would be necessary which would bother the non-believers, so do we kill them as well ? I mean if you want to eliminate war, it stands to reason that you are going to have to eliminate at least some of those who start wars.

Eliminate the energy crisis ? Got any ideas ?

And to change peoples' hearts and souls and make them good, that would take away free will, so that's out. To make them believe would be easy in comparison, after people see certain countries simply disappear or whatever.

Any which way you go, there is a problem. Even eliminating banking and commerce, like the stock market and so forth. Now the old people will starve to death. No matter what you think, there is always a problem.

Nothing would be fair. It can't require capitulation or belief either, if I have read it correctly. Foreign people are to be welcomed as guests, not shot at. Those who have been led astray need to be guided. No wish of Man(kind) it seems could accomplish that within any reasonable boundaries.

We can even take this out of the religious realm, what if I privately developed the technology to take over the world. Let's say I can do damnear anything, transform matter, the whole nine yards. What would you have me do at that pount ?

I have realized that every major player in world history had a part, not that everything was pre-ordained, but all part of life. Even the worst of the worst, if you decide that is your judgment, Germany would not be where it is today without Hitler, nor Russia without Stalin. None of these things could be removed from history without serious ramifications even if time travel were possible. Time travle would be an extremely awesome power, but who would know how to use it propery ? I don't want the job.

So can anyone think of just one thing that a highly advanced or supreme being could do to fix the world ? Remember there are rules, no taking of free will, no killing. No a whole bunch of other things. It simply doesn't leave much.

Just one idea would be enough, but in all my life I have never found one that can keep in tune with what was meant to be. In other words I believe that some things were ordained, they were bound to happen. The exact time and place was always a crap shoot, but what happened happened. It was not necessarily pre-ordained by some etherial force nor higher power, it seems we have been left alone to make this mess. And it now seems that we are being left alone to clean it up.

Any ideas ? Just one would suffice. And yes I have asked people that question. So in the end I ask, what would you have me do ? Remember I can do anything, but will not do anything immoral. In any way.

What would you have me do ?

Lindsey Williams talks about his first hand knowledge of Alaskan oil reserves larger than any on earth. And he talks about how the oil companies and US government won't send it ...

He's either an idiot or a liar. There's no way Alaska could have anywhere near that much oil without half the petrogeologists in the world either knowing it or strongly suspecting it.

Eliminate money or the need for it. Puts everyone on a level playing field. Require everyone to donate time to the cooperatives established for growing and feeding the masses in each area.
Yes, I realize that is a simplistic idea and there is so much more that has to go along with it, like the energy crisis, implementing more wind energy technology etc. etc.

I do not see the need for eliminating groups of people. If you are God, Jesus, Holy Spirit whatever, why not just infuse everyone on the planet with a huge dose of loving kindness and encourage us to all work together?

LoL.  You are funny.

I read his books and seen his lectures.   His track record is accurate.
He knew when oil was going to $150, and then down to $50.  73 oil embargo- 30 years opec to put funds in NY banks.  2003 we invaded Iraq- the 30 years was up.

"cartel" is a fact.

it is all about control- and taxation.

Anyhow- I don't have time to educate others who don't take the time to watch the presentation.

I think Scarlet is on the right track. Work towards eliminating the need for money. Of course, we can't take one step from where we are today, and expect to create a world without money.

The first step is to remove the power of money creation from the elite who now enjoy the concentrated wealth and power it gives them; and give it to the people, for the equitably shared benefit of all people.

There are many many steps that would need to be taken afterwards, but this is the starting point.

What would I have a benevolent Supreme being do?  Id have them make KARMA actually work.

Nice things would happen to folks that do nice things.  If you are planting a roadside bomb, it would go off in your face.  If you are getting ready to rob someone, you would lose your wallet.  Those who belittle folks with a handicap would find themselves losing their strength.  Those who feed the hungry would find something nice that they had always wanted.

You folks get the idea

Good advice.

One of the essences of Christianity is to love all, even enemies. This is one of the aspects of what it means to have grace: to be circumcised of heart.

Another one is this: "39But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also". (Matthew 5:39 (New International Version))

And a third one: "17 So Jesus said,
Well, then, pay to the Emperor what belongs to the Emperor, and pay to God what belongs to God". (Mark 12:17, Romans 13:6; Matthew 22:21; Luke 20:25 (Good News Translation))

Sometimes, though, one has to get tough. Some people occasionally need to be corrected.

We had this once. Way back in the day, before coinage was invented, back when everyone was a subsistence farmer. All anyone did was grow food, for themselves and thier family. As we developed technologically, we realized that it was a far better use of our time and energy to split up the tasks, so that we could have people who were better at say, making tools, do those things instead of farming. This division of labor and the creation of money to facilitate the exchange of one person's production for anothers has been directly responsible for the immense progress we've made and the fact that the world's population now approaches seven billion without major food shortages. (I'm not saying that people aren't starving due to wars and such, just that our food production capacity exceeds our food demand.)

Money and division of labor allows people to do what they do best, and contribute more to the well-being of society. Everything can be abused, not just money.
