A great slave is a compatible slave and one must realize they are grown and nurtured with mutual effort and not just fully grown and delivered to your door.

I agree, with the expansion that people can lead from below, by example.  The hard thing to find is the person who walks their talk.  Someone more motivated by goal than by avoidance of pain.  Such a person, in whatever position in a hierarchy, can inspire others to improve.

These 2 quotes speak very well to my thoughts on the matter and to my own identification as a switch as well; the synergy's the magic and the willingness to be at a different level of responsibility and accentuation of power than what is regarded as 'standard'.

Agreed, however, I don't think that negates how difficult it is to find a person of good quality and character combined with being a compatible match. Truly though, a good, compatible slave is only magnified and uplifted in the hands of a most worthy and excellent master.
