oh my!  I am channeling my youth, when the Holy Grail first came out on HBO, and we watched it about 25 times.  I was never the same.  If I recall correctly:

"Strange women in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.  Supreme executive power is derived from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.  If I said I was King, just because some moistened bink tossed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!"

Ahh, but the collection won't be complete w/o "The Meaning of Life". Be sure to have some 'wafer thin' mints on hand while watching.

As well as a bucket and a chhhose.

It IS a shame that all the movies they are showing is Grail and Brian.  Maybe the week after.  Also, Dont forget "Jabberwocky" although, that is my least favorite of the Python Flicks.

Indeed i'd be much more enthusiastic about this news if i could actually participate.  However, since we seem to be tossing around our fave lines:

It's only a flesh wound...

i love this whole scene, but i'm too sick to try and remember it.  i'd only screw it up.

lil bit

He must be the king?
How can you tell?
He hasn't got shit all over him.

Dennis! There's some lovely filth over here!

Bring out your dead!
(I'm not dead yet)

How do you know she's a witch?
She turned me into a NEWT!

Ecky-Ecky-Ecky! P-tang! P-tang!

What is your name?
What is your quest?
What is the air-speed velocity of an un-laden swallow?

What? On a Horse? You've got 2 empty halves of coconut and your banging 'em together1
So...?
Where'd you get them?!

Someday this will all be yours..
What? The curtains...?

This should be a happy time - we shouldn't be arguing over who killed who...

And my favorite scene - the Castle Anthrax:
There is only one punishment for setting alight the grail-shaped becon:
You must tie her down, on a bed, and spank her.
And then spank me (and me, me, me, and me!)
Yes, we must all have a spanking!
And then... the ORAL SEX!

I miss Graham Chapman. He was perfect as King Arthur, playing it straight, and somewhat befuddled/frustrated that no one paid him the respect deserving of a king.

The reason they used coconuts was 2-fold: 1, it was funny, and 2, horses were very expensive to rent and none of the cast knew how to ride.

Looking forward to the insanity :)

~Dave

Got better....

I didn't know we had a king. I thought we were an autonomous collective.

I MOVE.  FOR NO MAN.

Now stand aside, worthy adversary!

You are indeed brave Sir Knight, but the fight is mine!

OH, HAD ENOUGH, EH?

Look, you stupid bastard, you've got no arms left!

YES I HAVE.

Look!

*BK continues to kick Arthur*

Look, stop that!

CHICKEN! CHICKEN!

I'll have your leg!   Right!

*Arthur takes BK right leg*

RIGHT! I'LL DO YOU FOR THAT!

You'll what?

C'MERE!

What are you gonna do? Bleed on me?

I'M INVINCIBLE!

You're a looney.

THE BLACK KNIGHTS ALWAYS TRIUMPH!!! HAVE AT YOU!

*Arthur rolls his eyes, cuts BK in half*

ALLRIGHT.  WE'LL CALL IT A DRAW.

Come, Patsy!

OH, OH I SEE!  RUNNIN' AWAY, EH!?!  YOU YELLOW BASTARD!  COME BACK HERE AND GET WHAT'S COMIN' TO  YA!  I'LL BITE YOUR LEGS OFF!!!

Thank you.

I need the extra points to make up for the very sad fact I replicated that from memory...
