What is the best/easiest way to get the "new" smell out of a ball gag?

strap it tightly to your mouth for at least three hours.....

Buy silicon.  The others have chemical smells that last forever.

YICK ! But it is alot better than having the paint come off in your mouth. I know.

If your ball gag has an unpleasant chemical smell, it's likely the result of phthalates. I'd advise against using the ball gag as phthalates have been linked to a number of health problems such as cancer. The solution is to only buy phthalate free products.

Use her panties and duct tape.

i soaked it in mouthwash for several hours, and when i finally got to wear it, i couldn't smell it too bad. It wasn't as bad as i had feared! [:D]

Put a condom over it

The soft jelly gags and toys are notorious for containing phthalates or other harmful chemicals. They are common now since they are so much cheaper to produce than silicon. I've heard stories of burning sensations in the throat (and other places ;) during and after use. Actually this subject has come up quite a bit. Personally, I'd throw it away even if it's not "too bad".

Soak it in hot, hot water and baking soda ...rinse all the grit away...dry thouroughly ( use a blowdryer, or toss in dryer )

Latex and rubber taste and smell any way ....jelly ones have phthalates, if you get a burning sensation, use a condom or throw it out. A nasty allergic reaction isnt fun to play around with, never mind dangerous.
Food grade silicone or medical grade silicone are much better for you, they are dishwasher, microwave and boilsafe
I like many of the way the jelly ones feel but not taste so I use a plain condom or even saran if I can take my time covering it.
just my ten cents.
Lucy
