Why would any company allow it to get that far to begin with?

Question... what happens to the people who THOUGHT she had the money, who the company rang up their merchandise and left the store with the items?  Are they now going to be charged with theft too?

What I read said the first $5,000.00 dollars was put on the credit card of the hoaxer, which promptly maxed out at that amount, and then she left to get more "cash from the bank". So some was paid, ultimately by the credit card company...because she will never pay that bill.

And I mean come on! To RIOT and tear up Burlington's cause they couldn't have the stuff free??? Unreal!
