And remember.....where there is one deer, there are usually more!!!  The most damage anyone in our family ever sustained from hitting wildlife was the time my mom popped a pheasant with our Corvair.  Damn thing poked a hole in the radiator...they had to get a new one, it couldn't get patched up.

Twisted, my mom got ran into by a deer in my dad's (then) new truck.....scared the crap outta her, she pretty much did the ditch thing too.....took out the deer, but was okay til the deputy shot it...then she started crying cuz she felt bad that the deer died.  We're a bunch of softies, I have hit squirrels and even a hawk once...damn thing ran into me....and drove down the road bawling about it.  I felt really bad about the hawk....I probably only stunned it, but the car behind me ran it over.  He swooped down over the interstate right into the path of my car.  I didn't see him til it was too late to get out of his way.
