I am trying to set up something I think will REALLY be at least SOME manner of REAL "go" at helping Fwuffy through this HORRIBLE, UNFAIR hand of fate...

I want to set up a "sing for Fufy!" thing!

and the BEST singing, for ANY woman, is Edith Piaf.  NO COMPETITION, this woman IS the GODDESS.

OF ALL GODDESSES.

But I have spent THREE FUCKING HOURS trying to get the English translation of lyrics for Padam Padam so I can do my hard yards and sing myself and make an mp3 for Fwuff (and I want others to do the same!!!!), and I cannot get a GOOD or complete translation,

so can a Bruthah get a hand, here?

Maybe a Piah lover fluent in French can help, or someone get me a link to a DECENT translation?

I want one for Milord too, so I can sing tat for Fwuff as well.

Song and music DEVASTATES disease!  Trust me, I know, from personal experience.

I MAY even have an english version of the song in my library somewhere... doubt it, but, it wouldn't surprise me if I did.  I'll cmail you if I find anything.

LOL, I'm just imagining if the lovely people at the google keep any sort of eye on what all hits they're getting, suddenly seeing probably hundreds of hits for "Edith Piaf Padam Padam English" and the like.  A big kind of WTF moment at the offices. [:D]

That's a hilarious visual, BK! Actually I believe they do, but not in real time. They log all the incoming search strings, though. I had a friend who hacked into their site years ago; he found a backdoor that showed the search strings people were entering. It didn't show any tracking information, just the key words. And it was hilarious. We could watch in real time, and we were just laughing our asses off at some of the shit people were googling - "homer simpson + JFK + cat allergy", "donkey + latex + radioactivity", and even weirder shit like that. I saved some of them on a file somewhere, because we were laughing so hard we couldn't write 'em down fast enough. I mean, what the fuck were these people looking for?

(THough I really cannot stand to look at paris, I won't lie about that.  Gimme Nigella or Fran Drescher or Kritsa Flanagan from Mad TV!)

as for Patsy and Nina, LOVE them, but not a proverbial's snowball's chance of me singing them with my limited tonal range!  Fwuff's gonna need earplugs enough as it IS!
