I'm lucky enough to live where one of the last truly independent radio stations exists, so I can be greeted by anything from bluegrass to the latest indie bands to funk to Celtic to blues to zydeco to gospel...all chosen from the volunteer DJs personal collections. Sort of like college radio, but full power and broader tastes.

I don't listen to music in the mornings, I listen to the Bob & Tom show. Sometimes they have musician/comedians on, like Rodney Carrington or Paul & Storm (formerly of DaVinci's Notebook). Laughing gets me going in the mornings.

Music in the morning... interesting .. nope.. or not usually, unless there's a song i've never heard of titled "symphony in caffeine" lol. COFFEE is what makes mornings worth living.

When I go on-line, with a cup of coffee (I usually make time for this in the morning), I usually listen to something a bit mellow. This morning it was Donald Fagen, New Frontier.
