Wealth and Income are not the same thing.

Plenty of retired people have very low incomes, yet hold wealth.

Obviously. But if you read the thread, it started with a discussion of who doesnt pay any taxes
(the bottom 45% of income) and then taxxygirl makes the asinine statement "Want all the wealth, then pay all the taxes" implying that those who do pay the taxes have all of the wealth, which, as you have pointed out, is absurd.

No, actually it started with a discussion of Fox News.

The title of the thread would be the first clue.

cuckyman -> RE: White House advisers say Fox News is not news (10/29/2009 7:51:43 PM)

BULLSHIT!...TOTAL BULLSHIT.... you are waaaaaaaay out there Capt Ron... Fox News is the only source that still actually reports news and allows the viewer to decide their opinions..... period....you don't like it...change your channel.... you take on Fox or Talk Radio to remove them from the airways...its time for the guns.... for real....

I don't care what some low level white house advisor thinks anyway. He is only helping the good guys. FOX again blew away all of its competitors. No other station is even close.

Yes, that cute little smiley face you like to use absolves you of everything.

Now let me know when you can discuss the issues and we'll talk.

I think that sums it up very well,  though I'm sure unintentionally on your part.

Myself, I'm more inclined to believe that Fox decides your opinions for you.

That proves it right there.

How can they claim to be "fair and balanced" when they are blowing their competitors for ratings?

I keep trying to find the right words Mike, but  words like paranoid and delusional fantasies and pathetic plonker keep  creeping into the post, so I have to stop and take a deep breath....and find something fun to do, so I stay out of trouble, at least for now[;)]

OK. Let's see some examples--the same stories in different sources, say, Fox, CNN, NY Times, NPR.

Explain in those examples how the Fox version is what you claim it to be.

Thanks.

[For you outside critics--yup, those are so-called liberal sources...but then, that should make proving his point easier. However, I'm perfectly happy to look at credible so-called more conservative sources--the WSJ or Christian Science Monitor are fine instances.]

OK, for the one side one viewpoint you have one station.
the balance of the 3letterstations goes from hard left to very soft right liberal.

If you added up the channels on the other side and compared them to Fox you would see that there is truely much ado about nothing, in this comparison, it isn't anywhere close to valid.

Ron

I'd even be willing to see the BBC and Al Jezeera English included.

Mike....Don't you know that it's wrong say "typical female". You're supposed to treat every female as if when they do this sort of thing, it's completely original. Otherwise, they get all upset. It's a typical female thing.

I'm going to go lock myself in a saferoom somewhere now and hide till this post blows over.
