Will I still be me? Will anybody else recognize me? Or will you all just pass me by? Seriously, people upload newer pictures of themselves but we who use the avatars tend to identify the person and the picture. Anybody change theirs, if so, how did it effect you?

Well, Des....... i will just share my experience with you....... As someone who has recently been publicly chastized and shamed due to her fake avatar.... By God you had damn well get an avatar that passes by a certain koff MastersKoff approval... Because afterall he is your better.... Kali

of course you'll still be you. just 'you' with new threads! i change my avatar based on my mood and the look that appeals at a given moment. when i feel that the image doesn't reflect my head space i'll usually switch. my pictures are hand selected artistic representations of my personality, slavery, or sexual interests. each exists for a reason. in respect to other members, i notice the images but truthfully the familiarity of the name stands out more in my mind. i might encounter you on another site and think yes, she's active at cm. which allows me to recognize you, carnation or not. porcelaine

Celeste, I changed mine, hmm...not sure when. I had a Texas type avatar initially. Didn't seem to matter much. Doesn't tazzy use the same avatar as you?

I agree Celeste....your avatar is just a picture, we will follow you to the ends of the earth....well, the forums, anyway! Level, tazzy uses a bouquet of pink roses in a vase..... Granted, it is easier to keep track of folks when the avatar doesn't change, but look at Aylee...she does hers to reflect seasons and stuff, and we still manage to find her....ain't she lucky?? [8D] Personally, I'd love to post a pic, but unfortunately, it'd probably end up costing me my job if it was ever found. But I'm sure there are a lot of folks in my career field here someplace!

Celeste, so many of your posts have made such a deep and singular impression on me, I would remember you no natter what avatar you happened to be using. That certainly wouldn't be true of every poster, but you - yeah. I'd know who DesFIP is no matter what.

chuckle that assumes I wear undies at all... as a compliment to Des, I always notice "him" never the pic. The Des Vibe is positive and pervasive and supercedes jpegs and gifs.
