i have always wondered why people assume that getting a relationship in this scene is any different than getting one anywhere else. i don't mean that as snark, but i have had multiple conversations both here and in real life about how subs don't fall out of the sky all ready perfect, perfectly trained, and the exact way that a Dom wants them to be. i'm not sure why this scene should be any different than any other social circle- it may sometimes take a lot of work to find a best fit. as for subs being rude? i actually haven't noticed that. it may be a matter of expectations not lining up with reality. submissives are humans like the rest of the species and come in shades of grey. there are some that are deeply submissive and do look like the stereotypical polite to every dominant and submissive to every dominant, and then you get the ones that have been trained to show respect to those that are respected by their Doms but to hell with everyone else, and everyone in between.
