Status: offline 		Wow-two negative emails in less than 12 hours. One calls me a "whore" for having casual play with two safe and reliable men, the other just sends two words, "f-off".

I blocked them both and reported them, but that is just out of the realm for me. There are only a few dominants in my area that meet some of MY requirements and the ones that I know I am not compatible with, I just don't message them!

So, what I am asking is: what is important to you for your profile to reveal about yourself?

To answer my own question: I want to set my lifestyle limits and personal limits in my profile. No one (Dom or sub) wants to waste their time with someone who isn't compatible. Well, I know from experience that I do not want to leave my area of the state, I have an idea of an age range that I would be compatible with, I am sub, not slave, financial stability is important to me because I have a pension that lets me be at home as long as I am careful and I want a relationship.

Just kind of shaking my head....

Status: offline 		First off- never expect anyone online to behave like a reasonable person.

Be happily surprise when one does.

Now, for my profile I feel it's important to relate my orientation- how I identify myself in this sub-culture. This lets someone know of the language that I use, my general labels and immediate compability. If someone is looking for monogamy- I'm not the person. It also gives a snapshot of "this is how I see me" which tells a person what I value.

Then I relate my general kinky desires. This gives them a quick view of the level and types of play I relate to best and a good variety of topics on which to contact me.

I included a paragraph of "general traits of partners" once I realized all of my partners really have been or ARE similar in a lot of different and interesting ways. I think the convergence of these things is just a good mix for myself so I put that out there as more information on my life and priorities.

I put a list of non kink things I like- overall life interests and diversity is important to me. Just because we're kinky doesn't mean we can have a conversation. Someone needs to be able to relate to me as a whole person, not just a quick label.

Then I put a list of general dislikes to let people know "these are the immediate things that will get you taken off my guest list." I present it in a very factual, simple, short manner. There is no bashing on the head or negative "NO NO NO NO You will burn in hell if you do this!" or "Dont even THINK about these things" because I think that's unnecessarily negative and won't portray what I want.

I end on one of my own quotes, one of my oldest, that I think exemplifies a good perspective on myself and how I view kink- and it just sounds pretty profound.

As for the OP... my profile says just what I want to say now. Over past 4 months on here almost 5. I've changed it 2 times to make sure it's understood how I felt on things. But I never wavered from how I look at myself and how things are in my word. While at the time I wrote it I was single to a point.. it does need to be slightly updated.

But from the start.. because of the way I was looked upon, I felt.. as you read this.. you don't like it... move along. Though I did think putting that in my profile would sound a little rude. I've sense then have also realized that profile or not... it sometimes doesn't matter what you think, want, need. Someone is going to come along and try to get you to change your mind, or ways.

Hold fast to yourself and keep using the blocker if that's the best route for you... I sort of think, reporting them is a little extreme on first time offense. I would hold off on that for the stalkers or the ones that don't understand NO THANK YOU.... lol but then again that's just me.

Status: offline 		My guess is that these two "people" who sent you emails didn't even bother to read your profile and if they did they felt so out of your league that lashing out was a lame attempt to either make themselves feel better or get some response from you.

I'm glad you just blocked them and reported them. When it happened to me, that's what I did.

I generally dislike it, but I'm happy to review a persons profile and offer a draft write up for them if they like. :)

You should feel free to copy the structure of my profile though.

Pretty much, that sums things up in a nutshell.

It always astounds me when people actually expect to encounter only the best of the best on the Internet. The "Block" and the "Report" buttons are there for a reason and do not be too shy to use them. I am not berating you for your post, you are just one in many that have lead to my reaction.

People on the Internet will act in ways that they never would face to face because there are no tangible consequences for their rude behavior. This brings out the worst in those who are below your dignity to communicate with.

Take heart, there are good people out there and I have found many, but the waters are shark infested to be sure.
