Whoo...anyone else here have bad luck trying to be nice to someone and they effectively start yelling at you because you made a faulty assumption? Of the few Canadians I've spoken to (less than 5), this makes the second Canadian to avoid. She didn't have to rag on NY on top of all that either :P Her loss lol.

I'm not even canadian and I'm confused so if you all think it's an american thing guess again. So how exactly are you trying to be nice? Are you trying to use words like "Hoser" or "Eh" to make them more comfortable cause that's actually pretty insulting. Are you dumbing down what you say thinking it will help them understand better? Again pretty insulting. Exactly how NICE were you trying to be? This thread actually makes it seem like you are the one not to talk to. Steel
