Hi everybody,
I was thinking about how hard it is to communicate in the written form only and how much I appreciate the emoticons to lighten a post or to show jesting... And then I wrote "la la la la la" which for me is "I've got a secreat and I'm not gonna tell" or "I did something silly and I'm proud of myself" and holly (of the 30,000 posts) put up an emoticon with "la la la la la" which shows "I'M NOT LISTENING!" Well fiddlefuck! They're like hieroglyphics.

How are we gonna ever get clear if even the emoticons don't do it?

So what do these emoticons mean to you? I'll start (feel free to quote, erase my words, and then put yours in or whatever)

Ohhh that's a happy thought.

That may just be a lil bit naughty, but do we really mind?

(I don't have a clue what this one means)

I'm kidding / I'm flirting.

Ohhh dear, perish the thought! / Maybe I'm in trouble. eep!

That makes me sooooooo mad!

(is this the only self explanatory one?) I'm crying / vewwy sad. (but usually in a playful way)

That's my fave one, miss. To me, it means "I'm winking and pulling my tongue out because I'm making fun of something"

this one means "I'm appalled and angry".

"It's so fucking sad".

I just wish they'd actually FIX the little guy blowing his fuse so it would work...instead of being [:****].

I see this one as being sick/under the weather.

This is sort of like a "MOM" face.......

This looks like a little bug face......for when someone's being silly! Maybe like "neener, neener, neener!"

I only use this one, I think introducing too many variations confuses the sentiment.
