A well fitting bra is critical. There are many stores that will help with this and not expect you to purchase right then. I would suggest going to a higher end store like Bloomingdales, they are not on commission and the sales people are trained well. A good bra can easily run you $60 but with good care can last a couple of years at least. I would never suggest going cheap on this item, buy the best you can. Online stores like biggerbras.com (no really, that is the name) are very good once you are a little familiar with brands and how they fit, you can do a Google search as well. I have found when I was younger that some of Fredrick's of Hollywood's bras were pretty cheap and held up well. I am out of their cup size range now so don't shop there. Check out the community colleges in your area, see if there are any cosmetology schools, you can get your hair done, facial and makeup done for almost nothing so the student can get practice. Another trick from when I was much younger and poorer. The good thing is that they explain everything to you step-by-step, especially facials, what they are using and why, and they are not pushing $200 creams on you like in a spa.
