Personally, I think Dawkins is a narcissistic ass. And the fact that he feels it necessary to "explain" (to people he apparently presumes dense enough to wonder) why anyone in their right mind would decline to debate a Creationist proves it.

I refuse to debate with creationists too, but Im not feeling the need to make millions of dollars off the fact or announce it to the world..I know its his "job", but people who know about him already know his views, I agree with Kirata, he is a narcissist with a new book out.

I completely agree with him. I have made up my mind that when it comes to ridiculous beliefs (scientology, aliens and creationism), there is no arguing with certain people. They're too ensconced in superstition, and it's a waste of time to talk to them.

I once bought two of his books, read one and then gave the both of them away to a friend.

I disliked his writing style and disagreed with his arguments. I felt innate antipathy.

One of my friends saw a werewolf up close from a distance of about two metres; it did not notice him.

Is it the same werewolf that's into going to bed with unicorns?

*only posting because of the mention of a werewolf* A relative was driving a delivery route, and thinks that he hit one. He was driving on I65, at 65mph - saw a large dog-looking creature running beside him. The thing ran next to him for just under a mile, cut across infront of him, and he hit it. When he stopped the car (nervously, as he didn't want to run into the large dog-ish thing) he had damage to his car that resembled the damage done by hitting a person (i.e. damage to the hood where a head would have hit on a large delivery van). There was blood, plus the damage to the car, but the dog-ish thing was gone. Chris couldn't find a body, or any place showing where the creature had gone.

Back to your regularly scheduled thread ... *grin* I'll take my sleep deprived brain and derail some other thread lol

Unicorns do not exist; they are an Old Testament mistranslation of a word that means 'wild cow'.

Yes. They go into the "created" basket, with Adam, Eve and all the rest of it.

Now, come on ... while they might not be the mythical creatures that most think of when they hear the word "unicorn," they do, indeed exist, Rule.

I'm sure there are others, but these were the first two that I found

Yeah, I need more sleep ... sue me lol

I'm no fan of creationism, but Dawkins and others of the "new school" of atheists leave me cold.  No need to be assholes.
