I don't really know where to post this, but I was wondering if it's possible to delete my own forum topics/ have them deleted or make them invisible, something like that as I keep being bothered by people reading them and then emailing me and telling me what I'm doing wrong, stuff like that. I know I can just "block and delete", but I'd love to just get rid of those kinds of emails completely... if it's possible... just wondering.

Nope....

you can use restraint in posting in the first place, but pretty much if you instigate the bobsled to hell, the site seems pretty ok, with letting you ride it there.

Too bad :(
I don't think I'v ever really posted anything "bad", offensive or anything like that... I asked some questions in the beginning, when I was still new, had some problems with stuff, that sort of thing, that was about it.... Anyway, doesn't really matter I guess. Thank you for replying :)

They may look at and read your list of forum posts. I believe the list extends to the 150 most recent posts? You have only 125 posts, so those early posts are still visible.

LOL, so post more but be careful that it doesn't open up another can of worms ?

Let that be a lesson to ya, your post remains in perpetuity, unless a moderator pulls it, and they need a valid reaon. And that isn't the half of it, wait until some of the more uppity members shove your own words down your throat !

There are also other ways to search that can yield everything all the way back to your fist post ever.

CM is one of the best games in town, if you know how to play. Now come back with something the political gooneys can sink their teeth into :-)

Hun-- go back to the thread...  and post.  "I change my mind- I changed my position.  Thanks for you help".

That should nip it in the bud.  For what it is worth- nearly everyone here has done a post that they later retracted...or wanted to.

If you're not posting anything,....."offensive"....(Love that anal - retentive word! lol) you're not really talking to us!
This isn't a polite little tea room where you have to use your pinky finger when you pick up your cup.
When I post I do hope that the anal-retentives are,....."offended". lol
Sometimes I'll even use their "PC" term against them; "Hey, I'm fuckin' "OFFENDED" by your reply!"
One time they were "offended" because I referred to the Taliban as, "ragheads!" Can you imagine that! Don't want to "OFFEND" the Taliban now do we. lol
Maybe I should invent a line of ASS CORKS for "politically correct" people!
So don't fret, and don't ever be afraid to express your thoughts.

lol
thanks for the reply, popeye1250 :)

pahunkboy: Don't think I'll change anything about the thread, it's old history, as far as I know the "problem" I was posting about was solved back then already with me saying so there, so I guess there's no point

Search under your name. Find your earlier posts. Edit them by deleting the content, save the post. Other people on this forum do that with their posts. You could put an explanation, if you wanted to, like "Deleted to avoid harassment" but you don't have to.

It might take a while to find the ones that people keep annoying you about but it sounds better than the alternative (Block and iggy).

I think there is only a short time period in which you can edit your posts, an hour or two at most so this may not be possible now with older posts.

smiles....OP look on the bright side, a lot of people have been reading what you wrote (ok not really a helpful comment was it ..... block and delete are your friend is probably more helpful)
