So, I recently went to London Expo and was intrigued by the amount of girls I saw wearing cat ears. And the amount of stalls selling said cat ears. Now, clearly, given the nature of the event, a lot of these girls were cosplay as specific characters from specific shows/comics/books/etc... but it got me thinking. How popular is kitty-play in the kink scene in comparison to other types of animal-play, such as puppy or pony? In my experience, it seems that while kitty-play certainly has a following as a fetish or kink, it doesn't seem nearly as prolific or accepted as puppy-play as a form of kinky interaction and I was wondering why that was. Having never taken part in kitty-play, I can only guess, but I would assume that it is due to there being less you can actually *do* with a human kitty than with a human puppy? I would really like to hear from anyone who enjoys kitty play about what sort of things they like to do during this kind of play. I am also curious as to whether kitty and puppy-play are as gendered as they seem. In my observation, it seems that puppy-play is a more male-centric kink, and often even a gay male-centric kink. Kitty-play, on the other hand, seems a lot more female-centric. I was wondering if this image is really true, and these types of play really *are* very gendered (and if so, why?), or if there was a more equal balance of female puppies and male kitties than I have observed.
