It depends on the nature of the drone how effective they are Dawg, the point is that a modern airforce costs crippiling amounts to field relatively small numbers of aircraft. While drones cannot establist strategic air superiority they could with relative ease establish tactical dominance which would be disastrous for Western military operations. With one or two hundered thousand drones at his diposal Saddam, for example, could have established air cover for many of the engagements his army found itself in where his airforce were helpless. I suspect within a few years there will be a complete ban on unmanned drones being used offensively though I concede I could be completely wrong Dawg.

Master Jack the U.N. is no more anti American than it is anti British or anti Russian or Chinese. The only powers in the U.N. are the five members of the permanent security council and they are only pro themselves.

Yeah the trend is pretty clear. Something the left wants to ignore, gets mentioned, and the "usualls" come derail it. Tazzy? may? is? Are you actually disputing that Obama is having people targeted, without trials, for execution by drones. That's just sad. Its not even sort of debatable. It "is".

I love the drones and think they should be used more. We are building more of them and the new ones are much more accurate. I am for anything that helps our troops end the madness in the middle east and elsewhere.

Just yesterday, Obama signed in $130 Billion to throw at the War Profiteers. Meanwhile, the body count hits a new high (again). By the way, would it be possible for the CIA, FBI, U.N., NATO, TSA, TBI, Mossad, S.S., M.I.-5, NASA, DHS or whatever over-budgeted big brother ego to coordinate surgical "neutralizations" using www.verichipcorp.com in the name of "wander prevention"? Your thoughts, gentlemen?

tazzy, this issue is far larger than the cited article, and we are all aware of basic current events, right?.... Do you deny that under Obama leadership people in Yemen and Somalia and Pakistan, ect are being targeted and killed along with bystanders (often thier families) by US drones? Is there any way that can be considered "law enforcement"? That a guy at the UN is doing the same as the Nobel commitee, in trying to goad Obama towards a certain direction with faint praise, is meaningless (as far as I am concerned). How is it in any way different than Pinochet drawing up a list of enemies to be killed along with whoever else is with them? As Domken pointed out, targeted assasination is illegal under US Law. I disagree with the law. I disagree with the idea that Terrorism is a criminal issue to be handled by "law enforcement". I support Obama on this. I am glad we are killing these fuckers wherever we can, and they are scared to look at the sky.
