Brain, this is what happens when lawyers and finance people get into govt.

We need responsible Financial experts who understand we should be fiscally responsible.  IE, don't spend more than you make!!  Jeez  Maybe actually spend less than you make so you can earn compound interest on your savings......gah, what a concept!!

Instead we are making other countries rich....China has 1 trillion in US dollars....and is given most favored nation status, gah....

Americans are going to make China into a world power.  I don't wanna learn chinese.  ;/  2000 characters, gah.....

And your solution is...?

Your expecting solutions.....I suggest looking elsewhere Tazzy.

Hey, im in an optimisitic mood tonight.  Besides, this finger pointing, budget thumping, insisting that things wont work because we are robbing out children... is really getting old.  No one was complaining 20 years ago... 10 years ago, maybe.  And the government went unchecked.

Welp, now we see the results.  Anyone want to dispute that the way things are going is B-A=D and that to let them go on as they are is even worse?

The man wrote in another thread this line:
"Most working people want to stop wasting money on taxes and having government create GENERATIONAL DEBT.... "
Now while I am pretty sure a majority of people would agree that "GENERATIONAL DEBT" is not a good thing....the whole "Most working people...." part suggests someone who is more interested in pithy comments than actual working solutions. For myself while I occasionally might bitch or moan about how much was taken out of my paycheck.....I never thought of paying taxes as "wasting money".
Is there waste in gov't of course there is...but paying taxes is not in and of itself wasteful...it is a citizens duty and obligation.

Sorry, giving gov't money that they waste on overspending so we have generational debt and my children are poorer than before sounds lame.  They should be forced to have a balanced budget, or a surplus.  That is the solution.  Eventually the American gov't will not be in overall debt in the trillions..... what is it, 10 trillion right now?  ;0  STOP THE ANNUAL DEFICIT and have a surplus.  This will eventually stop the overall debt to be zero.....as we pay it off........(with the surplus).  We should also tax all imports, so American products that aren't imported are more desirable.  (import tax of 10 cents on the dollar that goes towards paying off national debt).  Oh, and any use of that income for anything besides paying off the debt would be a felony.  Force a balanced budget.  Make it a crime to not have a balanced budget.  The lying cheats in office can lie in jail.  ;0

Doesn't have a clue....nor does he understand the quite natural international reaction to his suggested protectionism tax plan....
