Are You Ready for the Next Crisis?

Greenspan may have bet our country on his free market ideology, but does anyone believe that Rubin and Summers were doing anything other than protecting the enormous fraud-based profits that derivatives were bringing Wall Street?

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article23810.htm

Nothing can be done because the crooks have the government.

I'm just not satisfied, Obama needs to get better results soon on healthcare with a public option and the economy. And if he doesn't do better I hope somebody more progressive runs against him for the nomination, I don't care if he is president.

A free market economy made this the greatest country on earth. If you take away the incentive to make money, we are all through. The current administration is taking us down the wrong road.

One good thing did happen. Timothy Geithner paid his back taxes after being named Treasury secretary.

Hunky, enforce the original thirteenth amendment.

Now is the chance, to educate. The bar association is a branch of the English bar. That means a title bestowed by another government entity.

This would have been prohibited had not the civil war begun, in which all kinds of records were lost and/or destroyed. The writing of Dodge and Dunn might be of interest, but I am not sure of the spelling/names, it has not come up in a while.

However there is REAL refuting evidence of it's passage. Many say it was indeed passed, but Ohio voted for it, however Ohio was not a state at the time. Even though they made Ohio a state retroactively in 1953 to 1803, it would not be Constitutional because of it's retroactivity. Therefore if we accept it's passage, we allow something wholly unconstitutional, but then if we reject it, on what basis ?

The titles of nobility act lost no matter which way you argue it, so what does it matter ? To me this is not proof of anything except that we are not playing with kids. They started way before we did.

Technically I go with the Constitution, that Ohio is not, and never was a state. Therefore the Titles of nobility act was never passed. Those are the facts, and that is from someone who has been studying this BS for decades. If we are to accept and use facts in our favor from the Constitution, we must also accept thos parts of it which don't quite please us. To do any less is to do what "they" do.

But really, it would've been nice.

Not to hijack the thread, but what makes this the "greatest country on earth?'.

Because you live here and have absolutely no idea what it is like to live anywhere else in the world?

Do you believe we are the only nation that has a "free market economy"?  Which, in itself, is a misnomer.

I don't agree with you. That's like saying we should not regulate pharmaceutical products even if somebody wants to sell poison that kills people. And there are people who would buy the poison to either murder somebody or commit suicide or because they are stupid and think it might cure their cancer.

You can have a free market economy with appropriate regulations allowing people to compete fairly and safely without it taking the incentive away to make money.

Would be a little hard for Mexicans to try to sneak through their border to France, wouldn't it?

With the entire breakdown of government honesty, ethics and accountablility, I'm glad you feel that it is worth noting that Timothy Geithner had a tax problem. Way to keep your eye on the goal. Wait a minute, demonizing any democrat and acting as if anyone serving in the Obama administration is the worst form of scum to ever ooze into the capital IS your goal. Carry on.

Having more admitted/proven tax cheats and self-proclaimed Communists, Marxinsts, Socialists, Black Idiology racists and anti-capitalists serving in the Obama adminstration than in any previous administration in history DOES IN FACT make it the worst form of scum to ever ooze into the White House and the Capitol Building.  I'm glad you feel that demonizing the messengers of truth makes you feel good about the Obama adminstration scum.  Keep it up. That's what Criegh Deeds' (D) campaign for Governor of Virginia has been all about and, thanks to Obama's recent appearance at a Deeds campaign rally, Deeds now trails his opponent Bob McConnell (R), who ran on his own merit, by 6 more points (13 points total) than he was before Obama's appearance! :-)

Just one bit of news: This week a 3% gain in the economy was registered. This is the first positive gain for our economy in the last 3 years, give or take. The unemployment plunge seems to have flattened out, and housing starts are beginning to rise.

All of which seem to indicate that things have bottomed out, and are beginning to show signs of solid recovery.

Sorry if this doesn't jibe with your Limbaugh/Beck/Fox News take on the situation.

Mars, you watch Fox News too much! Unemployment is still going up and still projected to keep going up.
Check it next month.
Just because Bill O'Reilly or Horaldo Rivera says something doesn't make it fact!
And then we have commercial real estate defaults comming up in the next six months and that's not going to be pretty.

This is one i always found amusing.  Does anyone recall the House banking scandal?  Which really wasnt a scandal, but a way for a certain Republican.. namely Gingrich.. to portray Dems in a bad light?  Until it was revealed that Gingrish himself had bounced several as well.
