Well I'm off to DragonCon, what fun! I'm sure there will be some interesting room parties, and I hope to meet a few of you there. :) So how many of the folks here share an interest in topics like sci-fi and fantasy fandom, gaming, filking, anime and the other myriad things there are to do at a convention like DragonCon?

Hey there miss, nice to see you joining up on the boards. Don't think there's really a big fantasy scene here unless you consider Gor (haha...invokin the gods on that one ;)) but enjoy your time regardless.

Greetings & Welcome, raises hand i'm a big SF/fantasy, medieval times, dragon loving, ren faire going freak that spent way too damn many hours leveling MUD characters in the past! But.....i haven't heard of DragonCon before - what is it? Well wishes

Back before my best friend had his daughter, we used to go to Gen Con every year, so I've rolled a few polyhedrons in my day. [:D] But The Hobbit is my favorite book, and my basement is a veritable museum for Star Wars. Add in my old comic book collection and you have the total "geek" package. And yet, for some reason, I'm still single. [;)]

Geek is good. :) Unfortunately I am directly in the projected path of Hurricane Frances, and my travel plans are alas no more. I'm battening down the hatches against possible storm damage instead of enjoying myself at a sci-fi/fantasy con. :(

i'm going! actually dragoncon was introduced to me by a mod from bondage.com, and he convinced me I should go.. I dunno which day i'll be there, but hopefully everyone will have a great time :) actually, it just occured to me that I dont have my face in any of my pictures here.. so maybe nobody will recognize me there :( hmm.
