MzMia -> Ron Paul and Michael Moore on Larry King Show! weeeee (10/29/2009 9:40:11 PM)

I am currently watching Ron Paul and  Michael Moore, on the Larry King Show.
weeeee[;)]
I was flipping the channels, how can I not look?
CNN Larry King: Ron Paul vs. Michael Moore | Ron Paul 2012 | Campaign for Liberty at the Daily Paul

Ron Paul thinks the public option is a form of Socialism.
Hummmmmm
Michael Moore says Capitalism has failed.

Well it is failing, but it is not all the way dead, yet.

Michael Moore says we need to get the hell out of Afghanistan.

Michael feels we don't have a dog in that fight.
Ron Paul even agrees with Michael, and says we need to get the hell out of there.
Why are we in Afghanastan and when are we getting the hell out of there?
Does anyone have a time line?
Or are we going to be there the next 50 years like we are in Iraq?

I think Michael Moore won this fight, but then I like Michael Moore.

I caught the Michael Moore segment as well, Mia.  I'm sure if he kept talking long enough, he would lose me, but when he was talking about getting the fuck out of Afghanistan, I was actually on the same page with Michael Moore!

Sometimes the blind squirrel reads the stopped clock, huh?

[:D] Come on over to the dark side, Rich.
You will like it over here, we even have cookies.
There is room for you in here.
I will even give you a Michael Moore pin to wear.

Been there, Mia, but it got a little too bitter for my taste.  Let's stick with a basic agreement about getting the fuck out of Afghanistan for now, ok?  You could bring me a cookie, though, if you wanted to.

I know that as a certified lefty I am supposed to like Michael Moore, but I don't. The guy plays too fast and loose with the facts. His lies don't help our side at all, and I wish he'd just shut up and go away.

pahunkboy -> RE: Ron Paul and Michael Moore on Larry King Show! weeeee (10/30/2009 12:10:53 AM)

Ron Paul should not go slumming.      Seems he did so on that show.

thishereboi -> RE: Ron Paul and Michael Moore on Larry King Show! weeeee (10/30/2009 4:27:55 AM)

Well I have no idea on a time line, but I know they are telling National Guard here that they can expect to ship out in december 2012. Doesn't sound like they are planning on being out of there any time soon.

I don't think I have ever seen a documentary film maker who is as skilled at taking a kernel of truth and wrapping it in innuendo and still passing it off as truth to most people as Michael Moore is. I loved the way Charlton Heston's shirt and tie changed colors during the course of one speech in "Bowling For Columbine".

Mike, I like watching Bill O'Reilly once in a while.
He's a smart guy (former teacher) and he's entertaining.
Mia, what's going on now is not "capitalism." In capitalism if you can't get help at a certain wage and benefits level you raise them until you can.
You don't engage in *criminal behavior* and hire illegal aliens at prices that you couldn't get American workers for.
And under capitalism you don't "outsourse" jobs and disguise it as "free-trade".
Business has way too much control over our govt.
And, I don't mind learning something from Michael Moore or Ron Paul. Unlike the "righties" or "lefties" I try to keep an open mind.

MzMia -> RE: Ron Paul and Michael Moore on Larry King Show! weeeee (11/1/2009 7:00:28 PM)

Popeye, I am certainly a Moderate these day's.
I tend to lean LEFT on many issues, but there are a few issues I actually lean RIGHT on.

I think Moderates don't get the attention or respect they deserve.
More and more American's are becoming Moderate's these day's.

Isn't it great to be in the middle, most of the time?

I thought Michael Moore moved to Cuba because they had better health care than America.

No, no, no Michael Moore is a great American, he loves us all too much here to ever leave us!

No No No, Michael Moore loves Cuba and their health care system. He even made a movie about how great it was. Or was his movie just a big lie to make a couple of million more for himself ?

I am not necessarily FOR complete socialized medical coverage, but
American citizen's should have some sort of National Coverage.
I have seen the movie "Sicko", and I think it is a great movie.

Have you seen it?
Are you a closet Michael Moore fan?

Here ya go.

MzMia, I can gaurantee you one thing. If Michael Moore ever needs major surgery, he will not be flying to Cuba for the operation. He will have it done here in this Country. He is a phoney

MzMia -> RE: Ron Paul and Michael Moore on Larry King Show! weeeee (11/1/2009 8:18:00 PM)

I don't recall Michael Moore stating he would fly to Cuba for surgery.
The American's he took to Cuba, had ZERO coverage here in America,
and were desperate for someone to help them get treatments they could
not afford to get in America.

Have you seen the movie?
It is now on Cable.

Ever since the '60's, the right wing has mistaken love for country with agreement with it's policies. When will it be realized that "My country right or wrong" is not the same as "My country is always right"?
