A gentleman in Nigeria wanted to send me a check for $1500, of which I was to cash, keep $500, return the rest to him. I told him that not only is this the biggest, oldest, best known scam in the world, it flat would not work with me, even if I was foolish enough to want it to, because I don't keep that kind of money in my checking account, so my bank would not give me the money till the check cleared, which, being a cold check, it would of course not do. he wrote me back to tell me I misjudged him - he only wanted to be my husband and love me forever and be my (slave or master, depending on which letter you happened to open). He said don't worry, if you think I am trying to scam you, forget the check, we won't do that, just marry me. And, btw, how much money do you keep in your checking account that your bank will clear for you? Everytime He wrote me I reported him - and wrote him back to tell him i reported him. it seems legit to me to report several times since it was mail to my private box and i only reported once each letter. he kept writting to say, why couldn't he make himself understood and make me trust him? I told him- the reports i send in on him are not hand read, but if he gets enough, they will close his account, and, since i report you every time you write me, you may want to think over that decision. that's when he finally quit writting me. this was a whole seperate guy from the work at home scam - same week, though. They hunt in packs, i think
