Good Morning, Gentlemen. I'm hoping one of You can shed some light on this for me.

I have a certain history of very vivid erotic dreams, usually in the afternoon during a nap and as the weather's changing they're almost daily! The one really making me crazy is a rather involved scene starting with whips (delightful!) and then heavy bondage on a gyn table for assorted reward and torture, meaning more complex pleasures.

So I like clit torture, and for about six months- it's included a few acupuncture needles. Why? I have no idea where this came from, perhaps because I saw a documentary on the subject for general medical practice. Regular needles are Hard Limits for me; The acupuncture ones are very small though. Scarring is my first worry. But apparently my imagination thinks this is a wonderful thing, I always wake up in a soaking wet bad. Not seeing anyone, unattached... may just have too many unmet needs in general. So I have elaborate wet dreams, lol.

Do people do this? Clitoral acupuncture? I'm referring to it in an extremely erotic sense. Two needles at the root and one at the end of the clit, below the tip is the drill in the dreamtime. Although I've been entranced by this idea in waking time and spontaneously orgasmed a few times, too. I know men do all sorts of such things for CBT but women's anatomy is more crowded and so easier to mess up on. But it's so good inside my head I thought I'd ask around. Other such ideas have worked out well. Some- some are busts. But none had chances of scars amidst the function of one of my favorite body parts.

My thanks to anyone with any knowledge of this. And please don't clutter the thread with your expressions of horror subs- harshing peoples kink isn't nice and obscures the actual discussion.

Well I am not a guy but have been doing needles (including acupuncture) for years.
Are you actually meaning the ball of the clit? I hear women calling the hood the clit but that is not accurate.
Even the fine acupuncture needle is going to be incredibly painful their because the clit (not the clit hood) is such a nerve rich area and I know your worried about scaring but I would be more worried about temporarily burning out the nerve.
The other things about acupuncture needles is that they are very fine and need to be put in quite firmly to remain stable. I wouldn't for example attempt to put them into male scrotum because I am pretty certain they would just fall out.
With a woman I would put them above the clit hood where the skin is firmer or on the outer labia but not the inner.

What exactly do you mean by regular needles? Considering there is no such thing.

Injection needles are designed to minimize or avoid scarring - ask anybody you know who has blood taken on a regular basis, or folks with diabetes or other conditions - you are old enough to know this, right? As far as clitoral needles are concerned, anywhere with nerve endings can give intense sensations.

My suggestion would be to stop fantasizing and try some of this stuff out, rather than ask questions that will give you no information (unless you like to spend the rest of your days cybering).

Needles, their use, and their effects, are exhaustively described in medical university databases, which are to a large extent in the public domain, and accessible from your very own internet.

Oh come on antipode the boards are full of many questions that seem irrelevant to BDSM. She didn't ask a question about hypodermic needles, she asked a question about acupuncture needles and she's hardly going to get that information on an acupuncture topic board.
Needles do leave scar tissue. People who take continual needle play will form a lot of scar tissue.

Anyway it looks like she posted then disappeared so it doesn't really matter but I would be interested to know why you put so many people down in such a sarcastic manner.

I used to donate plasma, needles will cause scar tissue to form after repeated use, I carry the marks from needles for a long time.

I have a couple of visible marks from donating blood. Accupuncture needles are a much finer gauge than hypodermic needles, so I can understand her feeling more comfortable taking them.

I can't give you any actual anecdotal evidence in favor of what you're asking. I have heard stories about loss of sensation. I strongly recommend against the permanent damage of the area. Again, I've heard stories of orgasmic clitoral piercing, but I've heard far more stories of the loss of sensation. Basically I guess it comes down to risk vs. reward. It seems that you can pierce the clit a few times before sensation is completely lost. If it's worth it, and part of your kink, go for it. However, I consider this to be one of those irreversable choices that while hot, is potentially damning as well.

Many years ago when i danced i remember working in a bar and whenever i would go into the changeroom, some dancer would be sitting there playing with her clit. After a day or two of this i finally asked her what she was doing. She said she had gotten her clit pierced, and 3 months later she still had NO feeling. She told me the piercer told her that there might be a 50/50 chance that she may lose feeling in her clit. She did and i have never entertained the thought of piercing or poking my clit with anything sharp. The furthest i went was to have my hood pierced.

If that's your kink, all the power to you but i would stop and think of the consequences first. Do you want to chance losing feeling in one of the most sexually sensitive parts of your body? If that happened, you would be fucked, and not in the good way

my 2 cents

It amazes me how many women claim to have a clit piercing, when what they actually have is a clit hood piercing. Have you seen the size of a womans clit? its tiny and for most women a piece of jewelry in the clit would be near on impossible and even if possible, far too painful as the clit has over 8000 nerves. the jewellry would have to be as fine as a nose stud and then because of its fineness its going to migrate and cause even more damage.
Clit piercings have been done but its rare and not something most piercers would entertain.

Apologies, I didn't disapear- I had a week from H. Three monitors, six or more screens, people over my shoulder, not checking my kinky board there. And that e mail notification thing doesn't work.

I'm talking clit, not hood. Play piercing, not jewelry type. I asked first to hear things like- "permanent loss of sensation". When I said "regular needles, I meant the injection type, medical needles I've always seen used for needle play. Scarring is a pretty legitimate concern, I think. I've never seen acupuncture needles used in play, but then I'm relatively inexperienced and haven't seen much compared to everyone else here. Compared to the size of my actual clit, some injection needles I've seen stuck in other girls (for hanging Xmas ornaments and such) are pretty huge.

Pain is just the bus ride to a happier place when done correctly. And a surprising number of things are a painless, instant limousine ride to an amazing place, regardless of how other people think they look. I'm just looking into ways of booking the next stretch Lincoln, OK?

This is intended as a special occasion event; I have a deep love of a clothespin or two there that has to be kept to minimal useage. I understand the burnout phenomenom firsthand. And placement is pretty important too.

It just seems wise to ask around. Hearing the bad stuff, this'll be shelved except for hot weather napping then. Besides, it'd take a pretty spectacularly experienced Dom to even consider the subject with. Haven't come across one live for a while...
