Hello Lovely Ones,

I have been getting emails from potential subs that are looking for a completely different experience than I wish to offer. I thought that I was rather direct in my profile (and even added a journal entry to further explain what I wanted). What am I missing and/or miscommunicating? Any advice would be most appreciated.

There's nothing wrong with your profile - not reading profiles, but sending messages anyway is an epidemic among all dating sites I know.

I wouldn't worry about it. There are a ton of inept Internetters who think that Spam is an effective communication style in any venue. Just ignore them. If they've not bothered to read your profile, they've not earned the courtesy of a response. I get about ten mails a year, but if somebody posts drivel, and hasn't viewed my profile, I don't write back.

Your profile is articulate, interesting, and specific.

Are you getting any emails at all from potentials who ARE looking for what you are offering? If you’re not getting any at all, then I’d say maybe you should be more specific about exactly what you mean when you say “teased and sensually tortured.”

One other thought: your list of likes/dislikes says you hate humiliation, but to learn that, I had to read the entire list. If you’re getting lots of people who are interested in humiliation (or other items on your “hate” list), you might consider adding something about that to your description of what you do.

I like that your profile is very positive. I would advise you to keep it that way and not add a rant about how you don’t want to hear from certain kinds of people.

I actually stopped reading them once it became clearer to me I could piss off more people by avoiding the process entirely.

Its common not to read profiles on all dating sites. People see a pic and say 'oooh! shes HOT!' and send a message. Unfortunately theres not much you can do about it.

Though I would like to point out that I always read a persons profile before I send them a message.

It comes with being female on a dating site. Especially a sex site. Men frequently don't read profiles or the forums. They just c & p their basic form letter to any new female in their area.

While I'm sure this is true, I wish it was limited to male and female interaction, as it's plenty common on gay male sites with no women in sight. Lots of men want me as their master, it seems... [:D]

It seems par for the course. My profile clearly states i am owned and Master reads all my mail. I still get the occesional mail from Doms. It is sometimes annoyong sometime amusing. If i did not know better i would say some people on this site don;t know how to read.

I thought your profile was witty and well-written.

I think the issue is that some people just spam reply with minimal thought in hopes of getting some responses due to sheer overwhelming volume.

From what I have seen in the Ask a Mistress forum, in general people just delete, or block-and-delete, as necessary to thin out the spam and stupid ones who can't or won't read.

I've heard that there are MANY more submissive males looking than there are dominant females, so with patience you should eventually turn up the perfect crew for your Love Boat.

It seems you are just another in a long line of female dommes on this site experiencing the same timewasting nonsense. I've read hundreds of profiles in my search and they all mention somewhere about 'reading and understanding my profile'. I'm afraid it seems there are far too many people out there simply looking for a bit of kinky excitement, who stupidly assume that's what everybody else is looking for. These people have absolutely no idea what this wonderful lifestyle actually entails, or indeed that it is a lifestyle at all! As a consequence they make a bloody nuisance of themselves (probably without even realising it), causing paranoia to sweep through everybody, making it more and more difficult for us subs/slaves who are serious about our submission, to convince a domme that we are worth the time of day, which then leads to everyone missing out on a potentially great opportunity.

I've had numerous exchanges about this but unfortunately there is no easy answer. Once somebody is exposed as a fake or timewaster they can simply delete their profile and start again with a new one. It's just too easy.

Sorry to go on about it like this but these types are seriously affecting all of us, not just the dominant females.

I think a lot more people read the profiles than everybody seems to think. You wouldn't know that from the emails you get, because people who actually read the profiles don't write very often. They read that they don't fit the description of what the other person is looking for, or else they're not attracted to the person in the profile for some reason, so they don't write.

The result is a few emails from people who read the profile and think there might be a good fit, and tons of emails from idiots who don't read, as well as automatically generated messages from bots and such.

I put a sentence in my profile that says Read it all and then instructions as to
WHAT TO MESSAGE OR HOW...
if I do not get WHAT I asked for I  DO NOT answer...
 
ON another I had indicated to BEGIN..
the message.."HI........I read all your profile and........"
again...if it did not begin with this..no answer..
 
It has illiminated a lot of wankars...form letters...and other various bull shit
I never worry about missing THE One because if he can't even read my profile I say..
"Fuk him and the horse he rode in on."
