I did not mean everyone who talks about or enjoys sports are idiots. I mean that sports are a distraction for the general public. The average American seems to know more about a game, whether it be a televised sport, video game, or game show than they do about what is going on in the world around them. These are the people I was referring to. I have a hard time finding true value in people's energy being allocated in such a way. We live in a world where people are constantly being bombarded by the unimportant To be super clear as to not cause any confusion the unimportant being things that have no true impact on the world, or any lasting effect on your life. It is wonderful to enjoy hobbies, if that hobby is sports awesome, but for too many people in this world such hobbies take too large of a role in their life. We live in a society where the general public cares more about entertainment than the direction of our country. I find that to be tragic. In one day we encounter more advertisement than we did our in our entire life 50 years ago. Most of that advertisement comes from our sources of entertainment. All of it then absorbed and cataloged by your subconscious for later use. I can't help but believe that because of the incredible amount of energy people put into their entertainment vs personal growth, learning, and discovery will have a adverse effect on the intelligence of humans as whole.
