Not to mention that exposing said operative was done during a time of war. Also, the exposing of said operative was done as an act of cowardly revenge against her husband, who put the lie to the claims of WMD in Iraq as the excuse for taking the country to war, killing 4,500 + American service people, maiming 30,000+ others, and killing almost 250,000 Iraq civilians. (and displacing perhaps as many as 6,000,000 others from their homes, and wrecking the infrastructure of the entire country.)

Yeah, Bill's blowjob was such a crime against God and country in comparison.

Oh, and BTW... Cheany's 72 whoppers today constitute a little federal crime known as "obstruction of justice." (they can't stick him with purgery, seeing as how he wasn't under oath at the time.) Although he'll probably not be charged with such: after all, he shot a friend in the face with a shotgun, and no one lifted a finger to arrest the evil son of a bitch.

In his defense, he did shoot a lawyer...  [;)]

I'm just thoroughly impressed that he got the other guy to apologize!

Precedent has been set bipartisanly on that issue, Slvmike. If that becomes an actionable lie, it changes a lot of things.

What in God's name did you just say?

I've heard some obfuscation in my time but that definitely wins the prize.

One was a lie under oath in front of a Federal Grand jury.

And he only assumes that "I cant recall" is a lie. Believe it or not Cheney had other things on his mind at the time besides VP, who broadcast her own CIA status on the DC party circuit.

Ok-  one thing.   Big pols are bombarded by eavesdropping devices- - meaning there is an electrical field aimed at the head - for many hours.   Notice how many get brain cancer.

I am no fan of big dick-  but any time one is under questioning that answer is very common.

So figure both our government and various other govts all bombarding the pol with these eavesdropping devices.

Again-  I don't like the guy.   But I don't see much difference in the two parties either.

thats why these guys should wear tinfoil on their head, hunk.

So we know where they are.

All Demo Dick did was to take a page out of the "Ron Reagan's guide to getting off Scott Free when under investigation"  Dont you folks remember Iran/Contra?  Over and over Reagan said "Well, I dont remember" and it worked like a charm.

It looks like Cheney avoided the Chewbacca defense, in favor of the Clinton defense...

I'm listening to the Craig Tapes on MSNBC. Senator Larry Craig actually tried the "I do not recall" defense in answering why he was running his hand along the bottom of the stall partition. "I do not recall doing that...I was reaching for toilet paper."

~FR~

The fact that some people seem to feel it is more important to play “but look at how awful the democrats are” rather than address the culpability for outing an agent’s cover as punishment for her husband’s exposing of that administrations blatant lies shows one thing very clearly. Some people have ethics. Some people have agendas. The listing of the sins of Bill Clinton and his advisors as any kind of mitigation to what is being discussed is a fine example of posts that have sacrificed ethics for agendas.

I do like not being able to see some posters posts until I have lost interest in the subject.

From an outsider looking in..
The comparison of Clinton to Cheney is a joke, Ive never seen so many hardons from the right over this...."bu bu bu Clinton did it  back when".....
its more than pathetic, its  laughable
Clinton paid for his lies, Cheney hasnt and wont, and there is the travesty.
I hope he gets his soon.

It has nothing to do with what Clinton did or didnt do, it is to point out the hypocrisy of the left.

I think this paragraph pretty well sums up the credibility of the link:

ARKANSAS SUDDEN DEATH SYNDROME - Number of persons in the Clinton machine orbit who are alleged to have committed suicide: 9
- Number known to have been murdered: 12
- Number who died in plane crashes: 6
- Number who died in single car automobile accidents: 3
- Number of one-person sking fatalities: 1
- Number of key witnesses who have died of heart attacks while in federal custody under questionable circumstances: 1
- Number of unexplained deaths: 4
- Number of northern Mafia killings during peak years of 1968-78: 30
- Number of Dixie Mafia killings during same period: 156
It is important in considering these fatal incidents to bear in mind the following:
  • The fact that anomalies need to be investigated further carries no presumption of how a death actually occurred, only that there remain serious questions that require answers.

  • The possibility of foul play must be taken seriously in a major criminal conspiracy in which over two score individuals and firms have been convicted and over 100 witnesses have pled the Fifth Amendment or fled the country.

  • If foul play did occur in any of these cases, that fact by itself does not carry the presumption that the the Clinton machine was involved. Given the footprints of organized crime, drug trade, foreign espionage, and intelligence agencies on the trail of the Clinton story, such a assumption would not be warranted. It is also well to keep in mind the classic prohibition era movie in which the corrupt poitician's job was not to engage in illegal acts but to avoid noticing them.

OMFG why is the liberal media trying to cover this up??????

(hint: so people don't look stupid that read these things and become taken in by them)

LadyEllen -> RE: Cheney FBI interview: 72 times of can't recall (11/3/2009 3:18:24 PM)

I remember when I was at school, (yes, Fred Flintstone was in my year), a lad called Neal gave a note to the teacher by which he hoped to be excused a swimming lesson. It all might have worked out, except being just 11 at the time he didnt have the forethought to sign his mom's name and instead proudly offered up his concoction bearing the signature "my mom". Neal was caught bang to rights and didnt bother to protest; his punishment was light as a result - he had to go swimming and endure me telling the tale for years after.

A few years later another lad called Kevin was observed by a teacher hanging out with the bad crowd behind one of the school buildings and smoking a cigarette. Kevin protested his innocence vociferously and was really quite believable given his otherwise excellent record. In the end though he cracked, fessed up and took his punishment. These days Kevin is a lawyer in a city firm, but for anyone called Kevin who fits any of this story, its not you, OK?

Then in my final year at school, (about the time the dinosaurs died out, yes), a lad called Adrian embarked on a part time career whereby for the princely sum of £1-00, (a lot of money back then) he would arrange to have anyone you wanted beaten up in the schoolyard by his cohort of scumbags and various ne'erdowells. Even when caught Adrian admitted nothing. Even when the police were brought in, Adrian admitted nothing. Even when his gang cracked and fessed up, Adrian admitted nothing. Adrian got clean away with it and with the money. Some years later, Adrian has spent nearly 1/3 of his life behind bars for furthering his career in the same sort of way.

Obviously this post has no point whatever and merely represents the insane ramblings of an aging Britisher past the recommended sell by date.
