The sport of queens is the way I heard it(not that there's anything wrong with that)

I just can't decide what is more exciting.

Watching a fishing show, watching golf, watching bowling or watching the Yankees play.

Nevermind.  I think hands down it's the fishing show.

You're a friendly little thing, aren't you?

I don't think "American moral values" actually exist, but you're comparing terrorists (ie. a bunch of criminals) to a nation state, which is senseless. When you've learnt a semblant of logic, you may get back to me. In the meantime, your chauvinism is lost on me: if you don't like that, get the fuck out of here [8|] .

It might be germane to point out that only one poster here asserted a "moral superiority"....followed quickly by three posters quickly scoffing at such an assertion.
And when you consider that the one poster would also claim moral superiority in an ideological sense vis-a vis the right over the left.....no one should be suprised nor to upset over the claim......hows that thing go...oh yeah, consider the source...yep that about covers that.

It might be germane to point out that youre still a fucking liar. I have never and would never claim moral supremacy of right over left...intellectual supremacy, yes. You are the poster child for that.

I mean, let's face it: it borders on nationalistic hysteria and on pure blind faith to claim that any postmodern nation has any kind of claim on 'moral supremacy'.

Morally speaking, nations are all equally crap, and the USA are no exception.

So the football game was getting a little boring ...and as men will do(we have very short attention spans)I started channel surfing and what do I come across but the documentary "Jesus Camp".
Now if we are going to start inviting people to get the fuck out out of here(if your going to tell someone to get the fuck out...have the decency to type the damm thing out)could we start with these people.

p.s. just how many invitation to leave does that make Kittin....its a good thing you spend your timeposting in an adult alternative lifestyle community   rather than posting amongst some uptight closeminded dipshits heh?

Goddamn right!

This here is America and we Americans hold the highest moral values the world has ever known.

America, love it or leave it!

Fast reply to the original post-
We get involved with everything in the world for the same reason Rome got involved in Britain, Britain got involved in Hong Kong, the French got involved in Vietnam, the Spanish got involved in the Phillipines, and Portugal got involved in Brazil;

Late in the 19th Century, American policymakers forgot the principles of the Founding Fathers and decided that we should become an Empire, not a Republic.

oh, and I really do hope and pray that one day the citizens of the world will say this is our soil, and if you don't like it, you can get the fuck out.

elegantcdgoddess -> RE: The role of the US in the world (11/8/2009 11:01:02 PM)

Good question but let me see.

Why are we fucking with Koreans. Is it because of Korean immigrants, or maybe back in fifties we bomb the shit out of them to secure our interests in that part of the world, wherever it is on the map?

Afghanistan? Are the afghan immigrants the problems, or the years of us giving Taliban whatever the fuck they needed to fight the Russians?

Iraq: hmmm, well we supported them in the war against evil Iran
Iran: hmmm, well they were not evil at one point so we supported them in the war against Iraq

Shall we go visit central America now? We messed that entire region just so we can have 69c bananas.

Ancestry? Well, i dont think it means much, after all we still didnt secure our interests in Italy and Ireland. When one day we decide to take out the evil dictator from Rome, and miraculously price of Chianti is now 1.05$ then i will visit this post again.

We are an empire.

The greatest empire this here world has ever known.

I suggest you listen to more Limbaugh and Beck and come back and talk when you have been "re-educated" into the proper conservative mindset.

Brain -> RE: The role of the US in the world (11/9/2009 7:22:07 PM)

I don't agree with Ron Paul on too many things but I do agree with him when he says the amount of money the United States is spending around the world conducting its foreign-policy is not sustainable. The United States needs to cool its heels, sure it should take a leadership role, but it needs to do it more like George Bush Senior developing consensus in the first Gulf War.

Additionally, I don't think it has anything to do with ancestors or people's origins. It has to do with money. Like starting the war in Iraq to get oil in order to keep the United States economy lubricated. It's like they said in the Watergate movie, "follow the money". Do that and usually things start to make sense.

You can start with this, but a good history book might be beneficial.

Important Quotations from Downes v. Bidwell

The Spanish-American War, ignited by the February 1898 explosion of the USS Maine and ending with the December Treaty of Paris (signed Dec. 10, 1898; came into force April 11, 1899), was a short-lived event with dramatic repercussions.

By the terms of the treaty ending the war, Spain ceded Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Cuba, and Guam. The United States then found itself in the novel (for Americans) position of becoming a world power with overseas territories, in the tradition of Britain, France, and Spain.

Non. "The most exciting sport in the world is to watch a woman slowly remove her stockings."

If your French is still rusty, give me a howler: I'm a great teacher, and my rates are good [:)] .
