Could you use glass paint to decorate the inside of a candle holder before pouring in the wax to make your candle? I was thinking about it and then it'd look maybe like stained glass or something really neat. Would pouring wax next to the glass paint once dry mess it up in any way, I'd assume maybe it'd look cloudy against the white of the hand poured candle wax, I would like it if you'd all like to brain storm making your own candle and decorating the glass holders with me.

Also I put stickers on the glass an they were not meant for glass and sometimes they stay really well but sometimes they peel and ruin, so how doI seal them onto the glass and make them more resistant to handling and moister, I could do modge podge I think but that don't seem like it'd work.

What about coating the stickers in a heavy pour on varnish like Envirotex epoxy?

I'd just need to make sure the stickers were not damaged or discolored by what ever I used.

and yes I cross posted to a different group to get the best coverage possible so if you see this twice ignore it.

I hope I have been as plain as possible and you can understand what I am asking I tend to confuse the shit out of people and not even know it or realize it.

I've used fabric paint, the kind with the writing tips...tulip I think, to decorate and draw on the outside of candle holders with great success. I am not sure but i 'd think maybe the melting wax might mess things up if done on the inside.

I don't know about that other stuff, but you can do class etching. They make kits at the store you simply just tape a design on and it will etch the class in that design. However, you need to be extremely careful because it can be toxic and burn the crap out of your hands.

They make a clear spray stuff for crafts. It is from Krylon. It works wonderfully and you should be able to use it on those crafts that you mentioned. I belive that you can get it from your local craft stores like Michaels and Hobby Lobby and also usually at more specialized stores for hobbies and models.

impish, yeah, that's the bad part, and some of the stuff is toic fumes, and you gotta work in a well ventilated area an sometimes you inhale more of the fumes than you mean to an get sick in the sense of a headache.

Yup, I have some and I used it on a rub on decal and it ruined my decal. I probably used the wrong kind of spray for the job though, because sealer sprays work beautifully to seal plaster of paris and stuff.

You need to wear a mask! Also goggles can be a good idea if you are spraying stuff or working with things that can put small particles in the air.

Yes Aylee, I never knew about wearing a mask though, And they have face sheild masks like welders use and those would be good maybe if you wear glasses and just can't stand goggles.
