MasterThespian -> RE: perma collars (11/4/2009 4:20:22 PM)

Is this what you are looking for? http://www.eternitycollars.com/

SexyMandi -> RE: perma collars (11/4/2009 4:34:12 PM)

i was looking for something more fancier than that and can have a o-ring and engraving on it

GotSteel -> RE: perma collars (11/4/2009 5:19:40 PM)

Most people would consider that mutually exclusive with being worn to work. Maybe these will be a little more to your liking:

You might also email Locked in Steel and ask about custom work or Steelwerks is into doing custom work.

I'll throw my hat into the ring as well, maybe one of these will fit the bill?

I have checked out almost all the collar/chocker sites I could find and still can't find one that is suitable for all occasions.

VadFarkas -> RE: perma collars (11/9/2009 7:53:12 AM)

Slimsqmale, wouldn't that be a decision left best to the individual taste?
Too bad you could not find one to your liking, there are many out there to choose from.
Good luck in your search.

It helps to know what kind of collar you are looking for, something simple, ornate, metal, leather, then draw a graph down... there are many places I can recommend if I knew what perma meant to you...perma to me is something that is stapled to the neck(im only joking a little).
I have many designs on my web site, but I have many other sites I would be happy to recommend you to , but narrow it down a bit please? metal, leather? materials? ornate, simple, price parameters.
Vads work is incredible,

I wear one of yours and it is appropriate in all situations. It looks just as incredible with blue jeans as it does with a little black dress and heels.
It's quite visible in my avatar.

i had these people make a titanium collar for my slave. it seems very durable and well made. my slaves collar is kept locked 24/7. stainless steel gets pitted after awhile. so i decided to get my slave something that will last.

I'll soon be wearing a collar by Vad as well on a 24/7 basis. I'm really looking forward to it. I think it has the perfect mix. Anyone asks I can simply tell them it's an industrial styled jewelry piece which seems to be popular over the last couple of years.

I'm under the impression that titanium is softer than stainless steel. At least when it comes to ice screws, stainless steel is much more durable than titanium.

SexyMandi -> RE: perma collars (11/14/2009 4:11:43 PM)

I was thinking a leather collar because the metal one cant go thru alot of metal dectors and the slaves flys alot. but i did like how some metal ones look.

I'm under the impression that titanium is softer than stainless steel.

That depends upon what grades/alloys of stainless/titanium you're comparing and whether they're annealed, half or full hardness.  Commercially pure titanium is relatively soft, but it's rarely used in that non-alloyed form.  Stainless rates anywhere from B65-C96 on the Rockwell hardness scale while titanium alloys range anywhere from B70-C36.  So while some grades of stainless steel have a higher possible hardness then titanium, you have no way of knowing unless you know the specs of the materials being compared.

I'm not all that familiar with ice screws, but these folks seem to disagree with that assertion.  Then again, they are selling a product so take what they say with a grain of salt.

Why can't a metal collar go through metal detectors?  If it sets off the detector, explain that it doesn't come off and then they'll just hand-wand your slave to make sure it's the only metal they have on their person.  Not a problem.

SexyMandi -> RE: perma collars (11/14/2009 6:11:12 PM)

I heard from other people that metal one that are perma and cant be taken off that the seceraty wont let them on even with the wand. it was also mention on a collar site that sells perma collars.

That's a good point, thanks for giving me more info on titanium (a metal I don't know too much about) and pointing out new titanium screws that are at least twice as strong as the ones I've been using.

VadFarkas -> RE: perma collars (11/15/2009 7:54:28 AM)

stef  has taught me a thing or two as well. ;-)

I received a great guestbook entry on my website from a customer that wore her stainless collar on a trip to Europe and never took it off. She was wanded sometimes. We had a friend visit us recently and her collar beeped on one leg of the trip but not on the other. Most times stainless does not interfere with security but you never know for sure. I always advise a spare key just to avoid hassle.

Cant seems to get the link to show up correctly, sorry.

OK this time fluffypet61 taught me something. [:)]

SexyMandi -> RE: perma collars (11/15/2009 6:48:44 PM)

ok well if i do go with a stainless still i will make sure it has the key or alen wrench. thank all for the help i will figure out what be good and i never knew that much info on metal and titamin collars.
