Cloudz -> Happy National Get Over it Day (3/9/2006 5:12:16 AM)

Today is the 1st annual "Get over it day". What do you need to leave here and "Get over it?"

For me, it is my marriage. I am married to a nice guy, he will be nice for as long as he walks the earth. He is not the right man for me, and does not meet my needs on ANY level..so I need to get over the fact that he is going to be hurt and move on. That's mine...

I need to get over the fact that my stupid 2-yr-old rottweiler just ate a spongy, waterproof vibrating massager - still in the box - and I never got to use it.

LOL.......ewwwwwww...thinking about where it will end up....I say this because my dog once ate a sifnificant amount of cash from my dresser and I had to try and piece together the serial numbers and dollars to cash them back in, once it found it's way out of him.

rub his belly and then have him sit on your lap...maybe you'll hit the switch and get one massage before it's too late.

too funny Evanesce!

EEEEwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!! I think I'd have written that off as a total loss. Ugh!!

Actually, I think she only swallowed a little of the foam rubber, 'cause it was ALL over my bedroom floor this morning, and the part that actually vibrates was lying on her bed. She's now lying in her crate, 'cause she's been a twit all week, and that was the final straw.

I would leave my marriage here but sweetie, I'm already over it.

What I need to get over is the feeling that I could have made it work. That I am the strong one and should have been able to change things, make things work. But as I have said elsewhere, you can't help someone who won't help themself. 9 years and I still couldn't reach the parts of her that needed fixing, needed building up..... Still hard not to beat myself up for 'failing' though... typical Dom problem I know!

Fuck it, time to put that effort into building me a new life.

My head and heart are already there.... just gotta get the physical upto speed, get my own damn place sorted... then watch out world... the Raven is BACK! [8D]

I wish you well Raven!
I was married twelve years, when my ex. left me with a 3 and 5 y.o. son, for a sailor that she met in a bar....I never saw it coming, but I too kept asking "what if I did this and that, etc). The bottom line is, there was nothing I could have done differently to prevent her from leaving and I bet the same holds true for you. It took me two years to really sort through all the pain and anger, but in the end I count my blessings, as will you. I was able to raise my boys and have written a book about the experience "Children Growing Funny." The responsibility was great, but the rewards can not be summed up.
I have been single for 10 years now, but I have been happy and am happy. My boys are now almost out of high school and a new chapter of my life will begin at that time.....want a roomie?

Good luck my friend and hang tough! Kevin

My Manager! good gawd----this is the worst I've had-first of all, she looks like Mrs Doubtfire---I mean cmon--then she henpecks Me---thinking she is "developing Me"---holy crap at 54, I'm pretty darn developed---and with a new boy and a great ummentionable, I hardly want to advance to CEO---and I happen to be recognized as an expert in My industry---gawd this grizzle tastes like crap.

DelightMachine -> RE: Happy National Get Over it Day (3/9/2006 3:36:12 PM)

Some past bosses that really treated me like crap. I swear they gave me post-traumatic stress disorder.

mnottertail -> RE: Happy National Get Over it Day (3/9/2006 4:24:37 PM)

I can't get over this thread, so maybe that's what I gotta get over....

Like Mistress Hathor I need to get over some inane one minute manager types at work........... and realize; at the end of the day, it is as Marilyn Chambers says, "It's just another act"............

LOL,
Ron

OK.. now i'm over it... <grizzzz>

Submotive -> RE: Happy National Get Over it Day (3/9/2006 8:48:26 PM)

Hmm today is a good day for "Get Over It Day." i need to get over sitting through a two hour presentation today at work where an extensive program that i and i alone put together two years ago (which my boss did not look at) was demo'd by our HR department before a group of managers who all thought it was brilliant. Today. Right in front of me. As something THEY created. i was shocked. i brought it up on my laptop and showed the manager next to me who said "Well they DID use a different shade of blue in the shadowing...."
