Conservative lawmaker calls fellow GOP rep.‘captain crazy’

Michelle Marston, an aide to Republican lawmaker Michelle Bachmann (R-MN), wanted to leave quietly.

But her decision to "jump ship" while her boss engaged in perhaps her boldest media moment yet has some on Capitol Hill scratching their heads.

Including a conservative lawmaker in Bachmann's own party.

“When your captain’s crazy, it’s time to find a new ship,” an anonymous conservative Republican House member told Politico Wednesday.

It's about time somebody said something. Maybe she and Sarah can run together as conservatives, like in New York, do a Hoffman.

Maybe the democrats should clean up their own backyard. First Barney Frank's live in lover was running a male prostitution ring from his condo. His current boyfriend was just busted for running a pot operation, growing it in Barneys backyard.

Bachmann and Palin are too far right for me.  Actually, if a few nutjobs like them left the party, I'd feel more at home there than with the Dems.

Oops, Palin and Bush and Cheney already did leave the party.  I guess for the most part, I get along better with the sitting members rather than Palin, Cheney, Limbaugh, Beck, and all the others who hold no elected office but feel they represent the GOP and America.

The GOP appears happy to let the Limbaughtomies represent them - they're afraid if they lose the crazy vote, nobody will love them at all.

See, this is something that I just don't get.

We have a story here about an aide to Bachmann resigning because of disagreements with her political issues.

Yet, you want to bring in something about Frank's personal life, in a story that has absolutely nothing to do with Barney Frank, and which should be none of anyone's business regardless.

It never ceases to amaze me how people on a BDSM board criticize the alternative lifestyles of others.

even at that, rulemylife, this is a thread about political infighting within the GOP, and whether or not Democrats should clean up their own house is fodder for a separate thread and in any case is typical red-herring, tu quoque, and ellidation that is the staple of the neo-cons.

While the staple for the other side of the issue is focusing on those NOT in power so as to distract from the party in power responsible for unemployment, the continuing incarceration of people at Gitmo, the payout and perks going to Wall Street executives, bail out money being spent offshore, nationalized companies closing plants, the ongoing war in Iran, and the escalation of the war in Afghanistan.

If the daily "Rush said this..." post is missing there needs to be one about an obscure aide employed by a Republican? Creating a label for people having a different opinion is progress and 'CHANGE!'? Granted, I suspect the OP is a result of a nightly BOT search but validating it and making it comment worthy reflects confidence that the party in charge is effective and moving the country forward?

"All is going according to 'plan'". "It's worse than we thought!" "It's Bush's fault" All these must be wearing thin. I wish I had your vision and perspective distinguishing the political parties either by lifestyle or agenda. Maybe then I'd appreciate and be able to contribute to any of the "look what they did today!" threads and enjoy the labeling and name calling on some level. To me there is no difference. ALL of the current ruling class seem to have one agenda and one reason to be there; to become millionaire through PAC contributions. Red or Blue are simply decoration colors and not result distinguishing.

Insecurity and a drain of confidence is showing.

Carry on - assigning me any label that gives you comfort - its the least I can do in light of the alternative, focusing on the results to date of this Administration and Congress.

and in terms of government BY the people, OF the people and FOR the people, I am very much in agreement with you, Merc.

I don't think that Obama has done anything terribly effective in his almost first year in terms of bettering OUR country, in and of itself, but neither has any other party, nor the administrations before that, and I cant concieve of ANY administration whatsoever did much in their first year from a standstill.
