I can't seem to find much information regarding this... Is there somewhere I can go or might someone have suggestions on this subject?  My new subbie has mentioned some curiosity about this and I have no experience on it..  Thanks for  your time.. :)

Hi aphrodite1luv, I agree with Lady P, you really do need a workshop or a one to one with someone who knows what they are doing.
What is it specifically you are wanting to learn? I do workshops in the UK that include sounds, urethral stretching, catheterize and urethral electro play.

If you see any workshops that don't stress about the need to be ultra sterile and that includes sterile gloves and lube, you should walk away.

Good luck and I hope you find someone who is a capable teacher.

There are local munches which I have never gone to and I know they have play parties.  I am just not sure if they offer classes..  I would never do something to someone without first knowing the proper way to do it.

If you have never gone, there's no way for you to know.  Perhaps wanting to learn about this subject, so that you can do it knowledgeably, safely, and skillfully, will be enough to inspire you to find out.

I agree with LP. Doing some networking gives you a better chance to find someone experienced who can instruct you.

Its fairly specialized stuff and rare even within the BDSM community. When it comes to learning things like sounds it should be fairly easy to find someone who can show you properly but if your wanting to get into some of the more intricate stuff then you need to look out for a nurse or doctor that are on the scene. The trouble with scene doctors is they usually don't want anyone to know what they do for a profession, which makes things even trickier. The only way your really going to get to know people like this to become known and trusted within your local scene.

yes do go and seek out demos and such that are given by experinced persons. there are also diffrent kinds of urethreal dilators and such so know you toys, some try to sell cervical dilators as ureethreal ones. urethreal sounds are straight and come in a graduated set, some have attached vibrators on them(oriential style). lots of lube. my Mistress and i attended a demo and it can be quite fun for both sides

I'm sorry I don't know of a place to send you for info about this.  I have done this and have had it done to me for nine years now. I can only tell you what I know.

If you need a place to get supplies try this web site: http://www.funproducts.com/  You will find everything you need there.

You need more than sounds and catheters.  You need iodine, alcohol, antiseptic towelettes, sterile lubricant, a plastic basin and latex gloves.  We use the Pratt Sound Set Curved, $49.95, Item# 606456 but there are plenty of items to choose from.

While wearing latex gloves sterilize the basin with alcohol.  Add some distilled water to the basin and a little iodine, about a half ounce will do.  Put the sounds in the basin and clean them.  When you are done place them on a clean paper towel.  Before you use the sound(s) sterilize the entry point (penis/vagina) with an antiseptic towelette. 

Catheters always come in a sterile package.  NEVER REUSE THEM ! ! !

Always wear latex gloves.  Before you use the sound/catheter apply sterile lubricant to it.  When it comes to anything being inserted into the urethra, if it won't fit don't force it.  Insert it slowly and you will feel when it touches the back of the urinary bladder.  Obviously, put no pressure on the sound at this point.  A catheter won't do any damage.  If you are clean and gentle you will have no problems.

Sounds are pretty easy to work with. One thing to make sure you do is allow gravity to do it's own thing, use plenty of lube and do not push or force entry. I have been working with my pup and am almost up to 10mm with him. It won't slip in easily and I will not force it. We are working our way up in size :)

Master and i have a very nice set of sounds in a pretty zippered leather case. Theres about 10 of them in set. These are for use on me...so i'm not sure what would be different if you were using them on a dude. Google (or the like) is your friend!
